I really want to play a FPS game, or mmo FPS (free preferably)

Hey, looking for a game i can play when i'm not playing wow. I'm into fps games like combat arms and GunZ, where you earn new weapons and upgrade your gear. I really want to play Ghosts on PC but won't have the money for abit, so lookng for one that is free for now.  Planet side 2 sounds alright, but i want to start gunning shit up right away, i logged on was standing in some sort of base and no idea where to go from there.  any suggestions on any games or planetside 2?

    If you have a PS3, I recommend DUST 514. You can start gunning right away by just joining a player who owns a dropship. Or of course, you can develop the skills to use your own. It's very much like Planetside 2, I think, you'd enjoy it.

    Well if you get Planetside 2 figured out, which I believe there are some training videos you can access in the launcher that tells you mostly what's what, then it's just a matter of time until you figure out how to read the map and know where to go.  You can always click on the instant action button but that usually drops you into the middle of a firefight and your life expectancy in one of those drops is about 1-3 seconds.  But then you can spawn close to the battle after you die.  It's kinda rough at first, but PS2 is worth figuring out.

    Other than that, I would recommend Team Fortress 2 for something that is smaller scale, faster paced, and a bit on the ridiculous side.
