So... not sure if any of you are following this game closely, or plan to play it, or are just interested in MMO's in general - that way this post will apply to you. Otherwise, likely not.
Watching the livestream today from the Carbine team, the Stalker class got wiped out in both PvP fights, and almost instantly in the dungeon run... I don't believe it was the players fault either... I think they need to offer medium armor for this class, or atleast up the hit points and balance the class before release... hopefully the people in beta will bring this up.
Thoughts?
Oh, and if you want proof/footage - I recorded/posted to YouTube here:

LOL - you mean the combat system? It is telegraphs! You can adjust the opacity of these too, and actually get rid of them altogether (but you would be at a disadvantage).
they do
Have to agree with bcbully. I understand it creates tactical benifiths.
But I rather anticipate my opponent's move by watching at his toon instead of the triangles and squares. And as you said you might be disadvantage's not using it by turning it off..
Overall I just need to see it for myself and hopefully it doesn't turn out to be such a disadvantage when turning it off.....hopefully
One, they do wear medium armor.
Two, the one on one fight he hardly got "wiped". He did lose 1 to 2 but all but the last round were decided by a sliver of health.
Three, the guy healing him in the 2v2 fights doesn't seem to be the best healer in the world. IIRC he did the healing in the esper dungeon stream and the party wiped several times.
Four, pvp balancing based on 3 duels and 2 OW-pvp encounters where we don't have any idea the relative skill of the players while they are demoing the game on a livestream = bad idea.
No real public opinion on balance can be made until the NDA is dropped and a large portion of beta testers can weigh in.
A thief/rogue archetype gets beat once and it's instantly considered sub-par.
He died in the dungeon because he was tanking due to the engineer not holding any threat.
I was confused about that as well, they said the engie was the tank, but it seemed like the warrior was the one running in and tanking. It looked like the engie was just dpsing.
Since when is Tuesday a direction?
They can spec to tank. Check out their devspeak class vid on the wildstar site.
Yes, and not only this - apparently his mitigation was spec'd completely to DPS, but why would he be going in and attacking mobs if the main tank doesn't have the mobs full attention?
Bad gameplay mixed with a squishy class = fail.
Hopefully with good gameplay the class can be good... but watching him in all 3 instances (PvP/Dungeon) he was the first to go at all times....
