Aura Kingdom is one of those games that many players may take a cursory glance at and then move one. Not so fast, gamer! We took a look at Aura Kingdom recently and offer a few thoughts to entice you to look again. Read on before heading to the comments.
Aura Kingdom’s story may remind some folks of a Final Fantasy game, the spirit force called “Gaia” has bestowed the ability to control familiars known as Eidolon upon a select group of people within the game’s realm. These Envoy of Gaia as they are called can be both good or evil. Throughout the game you’ll have a selection of Eidolon that you can collect and you’ll be able to keep up to three to switch between in and out of combat, sort of like AI controlled Espers or Summons, if I can continue with the FF metaphor. You’ll be able to team up with your Eidolon to pull off special combos, like a devastating AoE spin attack from you and your giant robot, or hopping on the back of a cyber-panther for a limited amount of time to deliver some brutal ice elemental attacks, and the little girl who floats around on a crescent moon and turns you into a giant bunny to deliver a tremendous flying slam into the ground below. Switching between them in battle on the fly is simple and you can select which commands you want them to carry out. There appears to be enough variety that finding the companion should be easy enough.

You had me at hello.
Anyone paying to test a beta is not a beta tester. They are a customer. Why oh why do these developers insist on charging gamers before a game is fully made? When did that become ok? I have tested many mmos and have had very fond memories of /bug reporting and survey takings. I love the art-style and idea for this game. I for one will not pay to test.
In all honesty it's like going out to eat to pay to make your own meal. Or taking your car to a shop and paying so that you can repair it yourself...
Game "sounds" decent...however Aeria Games (like all F2P publishers?) have a baaaad reputation. Just looking at the Founder packs, they range from 20$ to a whoooopppppiiing 300$. And if you compare the Gold and Platinum packs, the only differences are a few more "points" (cash-shop probably) and..... a mount, yet the price difference is a massive 110$. Who wants to complain about Neverwinter's 50$ mounts now?
It's no longer a game, just either a massive grind or a cash-shop bonanza imo. It could have the best systems in the world, if the MMO part of it (player interaction, markets) is broken to bits then it's most likely going to fail badly.
IF they cut off a zero on their prices, MAYBE this will be worth a second look.

Not even close, you're not actually making the game when you beta test. And if you think you are you're delusional. If it was really work you wouldn't do it at all, or expect to be paid. Let's face it beta testing is fun, it's still playing a game, and a game that most people haven't gotten to play yet. The reason they don't pay people to beta test is they know theres plenty of people who will do it for free.
And the reason they give beta access to people pre-purchasing/pre-ordering? Is because they know there are people willing to pay early to get access to the beta. They're still getting all the testers/players they need and they are making money up front for launch, and there is a good chance someone who had to put down money to get into the beta is more likely to play long term than someone who signs up for every beta test they can find and might play for 20 minutes and say "this game sucks" and move on.
No if you pay to beta test you are the scamee ) Secondly if you actually pay to test anything from Aeria games you have major bats in the belfry. Since you have so much free money to give away, find a good charity, like the Salvation Army.
All that needs to be tested though is to see if Aeria Games English doesn't suck. The game has already been in beta and released and had updates in other countries. Those other countries have already fixed all the bugs that the game had. All Aeria Games needs to do is literally localize the game.

It's a way to filter the player out and incorporate the beta testers who are serious about testing, and allowing enjoyment of the game to become the last priority. However, if the player is still willing to pay to test, then at least that money can be used to pay a coder to look deeper into the code for bugs (through over time) that said tester decided not to find, but instead pay to play in a testing period. This has some pros and cons though. Longer testing period being either of them, and possibility of more bugs being found without the player being able to find them. Either way, I'm fine with it so as long the price isn't too steep; otherwise, there should be a perk for purchasing once it has finally released in its public stage.
If you're going to write an article this trite and void of relevant detail, at least get some facts straight. The developer is X-Legend, not Legend-X. And Fantasy Frontier is the SAME game. "Aura Kingdom" is the westernized name. If you're going to compare this game to older X-Legend releases, they'd be Eden Eternal and Grand Fantasia.
Also, "killing adorable things" is not in the least noteworthy or new. Next time, spend more than five minutes for research and find some information gamers will want to know.
