With the Friends & Family beta behind them, Blizzard has announced that the Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls closed beta has begun and that those who signed up for the opportunity to test the title need to check their inboxes.
Invitations to this next phase of our public test are now being delivered to nephalem worldwide. If you've been invited to the Closed Beta, we'd love to hear all about your adventures on the forums, watch your live streams, and see screenshots and videos of your experiences in Sanctuary. Please keep in mind that Reaper of Souls is still in development, which means that all content in the Closed Beta is subject to change and isn't necessarily representative of the final game.

Elaborate a little? I haven't tested a lot yet, but really liked what I've seen so far. I enjoyed playing on the PTR even if It only lasted about 1 hour before getting dc'ed (gave up reconnecting due to queue). I like that all loot is useful now, even white gear (for us crafters at least). Also, I didn't get a single piece of gear with "weird" stats. The drop rates are perhaps a little low, but I kinda like that.
would like to hear why you think it's worse?
I absolutely hate the lowered general item drop rate. The decreased stats on items, and worse of all, how elite packs can actually drop nothing at all! So anti climatic now. Perhaps the legendarys are much improved - I wouldn't know the drop rate seems worse also! Perhaps the expansion will make the game improved, but based on this, I'm not forking out 30 quid on it to find out!
Your really going to miss out, because not a single thing you claimed above is actually true.
thanks for mentioning GD - I forgot about that game

edit: hmm there's no game subforum for Grim Dawn
unlike Torchlight, POE, D3

Here we have a case of someone who watched the Loot 2.0 video.. completely misunderstood it and imagined a scenario based on that false interpretation.
It's nothing like you think it is. Based on what you've said you haven't played D3 with the new loot system, simple as that.
If you'd played D3 on console, which basically already has Loot 2.0, you'd already know this.
I can understand that you hate the lowered drop rate, fair enough. I like it though, drop rates on live servers are just ridiculous, with 99,9% of it being useless. Now every single drop is useful if you're a crafter, which to me is f'ing awesome. But to each their own.
Decreased stats? Seriously? Stats are a lot better, no more int on mighty belts, dex on wands or str on mojos for once. Stats are buffed, not nerfed. I found a yellow belt that was better than my expensive immortal king belt, and my IK belt was pretty good. And keep in mind that I only played for about an hour. Other players linked their loot in general chat, whenever they found something nice. A guy found an Immortal King chest with 500str and 450vit - a huge increase in stats.
