Guild Housing (FC) the cost to benefit ratio

After seeing the insanely expensive cost for just the plot of a guild house. You think FC members will be willing to shell out millions of gil for something that is almost fluff atm? I know they will add things in the future, but as of now, the few benefits members get is not really worth the cost to some of us.
I just hope SE learns something when true player housing comes along and not try to ask for these insane prices. Not every one of us buys gil from farmers or are legacy players with money to burn. For a game that has been out for a few months, newer players should not be punished because of farmers.
Looking at the smallest guild house for our FC would cost us 8 million. I been playing with a friend and between us we got like 100k of weeks of playing so far. And our other guild mates are just as poor.

Personally, I think its great that the prices are high, and I don't think they are out of line at all. Seriously, why is everyone focusing on the extreme pricing of the large first class plots? Frankly, if the most expensive land/house was affordable by any but a very small fraction of FC's on patch day, I would have been very disappointed.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, the bargain basement small fifth class plots should be affordable for any FC that just has to have their house NOW, and made any reasonable attempt to put away some gil. My own FC is in the same spot I suspect many others are. We could afford a cheap plot, but we will probably wait for prices to depreciate while we continue to sock away gil for a nicer place.

Not really upset about the pricing, if it's worth it then it's worth it. However, I would feel pretty bad if I have to ask guild members for millions of gil for something that might not be worth the cost. What are the benefits that these places provide that can't be found in another part of the game. I don't see how this doesn't concern others these crazy prices for something that may not be worth the trouble.
Also I am not looking to buy a GUILD house by myself. I am well aware that these are housing for free companies (guilds) and every should probably pay for it. IF it's worth it to them that is.
On a side note: What is upsetting and disheartening is the bashing I am getting here for just an opinion. If I don't agree with someone's opinion on a subject I either ignore it or post my opinion without flaming the person. Guess Mods here don't really police their forums much.

I still don't see the issue. Whether or not the FC houses are "worth it" as you put it is something each FC has to decide for themselves. If it isn't worth it, then there is absolutely no reason you have to go out and buy one. It's not as if there is a bunch of other things FC's need to spend gil on though.
I just went over the thread again, and I honestly didn't see a whole lot of overt bashing going on. A lot of us simply choose to disagree with you. I'm sorry if you didn't get the outpouring of support you were expecting.
It was just a concern about the housing system in its current form. And hoping this doesn't bleed over with solo player housing with these incredibly high prices due to mass amounts of inflation because of cheaters buying gil and super old players who are wealthy beyond belief for a game that is suppose to be new to a lot of us.
On the bashing, i am done responding to that because I made my point and saw some people already changed/edited their posts.
Well if it's 10 million then that is totally doable in a few months. I guess people like myself who are pretty new to the game, less then a month game play, the sticker shock got me lol. I had no idea the inflation this game was in. I can totally understand a MMO that's years old but I assumed going into the game that it was only a few months old and people starting on non-legacy servers would start fresh. I guess I should of done more research before getting my hopes up.
