3-4 years ago i was very into f2p games, and now i'm looking to get back into that scene with my bofriend.
I'm a big fan of fun, bright, almost cutesy games like Luna online, Fiesta , Grand Fantasia, Mabinogi, etc
I would prefer they be newer games, or if not new then still have an active population/still supported and regularly updated by the company ( Those being the reasons i'm not playing most of the games i listed )
If no other alternatives i would play a game you have to purchase, but no subscription fees please.Suggestions?

RO2 and TERA are the first thing that comes to mind, maybe an outside chance for Rift.
I don't think they release as many of those chibi 3d games as they used to. Though there is one, I think the name is Aura Kingdom, that's on the way. I remember this one because they're trying to sell $300 founders packs.
Edit: Oh, and if you wanted to try something very different there is Wakfu, it's definatly bright and cutesy. Population isn't great but seems to be receiving regular updates since it's fairly popular in France.
Well it's not super bright or particularly cutesy, but MARVEL HEROES is a TREMENDOUS F2P title. It is truly free to play as well, you can earn everything in game which is great with items called Eternity Splinters. There is of course the option to purchase heroes, which I recommend if you want to help fund the game. It started out rough, but after some strong patches the game is at a point to stake it's claim at the top of the roost when it comes to ARPG's, honestly this is what Diablo 3 should have been but failed miserably at trying to do.
It is worth a shot and is a great game, you have nothing to lose.
Eden Eternal might not be a bad choice for what they're looking for, but Lime Odyssey has basically been canceled in Korea. So I wouldn't expect any updates which is why I didn't mention it.
