This game promises so much. Empire building, meaningful PvP, good combat system, towns, smart AI, character customization and so much more.
If the game is stable and even has one or two of the features settled to start with I think it'll be worth hanging around for.
I don't know about anyone else but saying good graphics makes for a 3rd generation is counter to the way I think. I want something that changes the gameplay to matter more than the polygon count and shading.
This game offers that apparently. I'm a huge skeptic, I frankly don't think they can pull it off. If they do I'm going to sign up for the big membership because it sounds too good to be true.

I'm pretty much of the same mind with The Chronicle, everything sounds great, everything looks great and they seem to actually care about what they are putting out there and their own future customers.
That being said, I very much so take a "I'll believe it when I see it" stance with stuff comming out of mmocenter. I get twitchy everytime I think about how great TC could be and even more so when I think about what they could do with a game like Creatures of the Night (Another game seemingly proposed to be in developement by MMOCenter).
But I steady myself and remind myself that it's not true until you see it and play it yourself. So I'm holding tight and wishing all the best to the crew at mmocenter, always wishing to not be dissapointed in the end.

they just recently released a short video on their beta access site. from what i can tell it looks pretty good. some things like the actual gameplay and any/if any lag issues you cant really tell from a video, that kind of stuff has to be found out the day of play.
they got some great concepts in the works and im hopeing most if not all will turn out good.
they pushed back beta testing and as much as i hate that, it will hopefully improve the game. I hate seeing games released before they are ready just to make a deadline or to get it out before xmas.
I don't really agree with that. I think every push back is one more sign that the game will be awful, if it ever sees the light of day that is.
Just the same I'm willing to cut them a lot of slack with this delay. That's because they've got a valid reason what with switching engines. The dev time on this game is less than a year so they've got a lot of room as far as I'm concerned anyway.

I've never been one to be bothered by canceled release dates, it's the arbitrary release dates that are handed out knowing full well that they will never be met that bother me. I realize that alot of work goes into picking a release date and lots of that work is marketing directed but development companies really need to start getting that they can't treat their player base like inane zombies that nod and agree with all the BS to pass down the turnpike.
I sincerely hope that the TC dev's know this and that they are setting realistic release dates and not planning to continually push back just to gain hype marketing or some sort of sadistic following.

The Chronicle sounds and looks great.. It quickly became one of my most anticipated games coming out this year.. I cant wait for open beta to begin in a couple weeks.. Perma death for main characters sounds awesome, along with siege warfare, fighting while on mounts, all the subraces and classes available,etc.. It truly sounds like a great game.. But so did Shadowbane,,and look at what happened with that..
I hope the Chronicle can deliver, but i'm not holding my breath.. I was very disappointed with Shadowbane,I will not let that happen with this game..

the game has been under development for only 8 months...its rediculously short time in the common mmorpg business, so i understand perfectly every delay they have.
