Playonline problems

in Final Fantasy XI

Actually I am not sure if this is a PLO or FFXI prob. For the past week I have been having continuous probs playing. While I'm on at a random moment the game exits and pops out a Windows error message saying "Playonline has encountered an error and must be closed. We are sorry for the inconvenience.". This happened for the first time a week ago but only once. After I got back on I played normally. But as the week went by the number of times this occured increased. Yesterday it happened 7 times in a row so I couldn't play. If anyone has any idea what is going on please tell me what to do because I don't want to have to format my hdd.

    i think its says that whenever you get knocked offline, or another program forces ffxi to minimize

    Let me TRY to help you. I play on my PS2. So, I never encounter problems.

    Well, I just tried googling "Playonline has encountered an error and must be closed. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

    I got all crap....

    I would either have to go with, delete the game, use a crap load of registry fix programs, and reinstall.

    Or, contact play online.....it's their job to fix their own created problems.
    I mean you pay them 13 dollars a month.

    Thanks for the help guyz! I managed to fix the prob by formatting my hard drive! ::::02:: Yeah I know a bit of an exaggerated action to take but I just couldn't stand it. I tried everything I could think of and anything I could find on forums.
