I've run out of interest in this game, just took to long to hit Western markets and the more I learned the less interested I became.

I don't understand what's taking so long for this game to come to us............

    Really.......

This game is the only Asian MMO that has been hyped in the US/EU even before releasing in Korea, and that was 2 years ago.

How could Publishers could have missed it for so long?

Even Russia got it first, which says it all.

Now I am afraid that by the time this game will reach our shores, it will be already outdated

Its looking pretty dated to me these days :/

There was some word a long time back that they would upgrade from CryEngine 2 to 3 after launch. Guess that never happened too.

Pretty much lost interest. Even if they said it was coming in April, by then I'd just wait for ESO or Wildstar

Currently waiting for the MMO industry to put out something good.

The ball was dropped with this one in NA.  By the time they finally release it, we'll have half a dozen next gen MMOs on the market, and some fantastic indy games.  This game is already old, even if the gameplay is unique.  It better be magic when they finally release it here...

A sure sign that you are in an old, dying paradigm/mindset, is when you are scared of new ideas and new technology. Don't feel bad. The world is moving on without you, and you are welcome to yell "Get Off My Lawn!" all you want while it happens. You cannot, however, stop an idea whose time has come.

Now that the Russian version is almost done, they will leap to Trion to work on NA/EU version,

Loved just about every AA video to date. This one just seemed like a step back. Very confused.

We should not be confused by the terrible cheap releases we have seen over here, games with bugs, glitches, exploits, and releasing half a game or with little content. This game went 2 years of testing, that is  what you call EFFORT,unlike what NA devs are pan handling us.

I am sure many factors lead to a delay of publishers. One they are not selling a cheap f2p game, this is a full fledged more content than WOW game,so they wanted a decent named publisher that also could work out a reasonable deal.

If SOe got this, they would have stolen everything from Jake Song,if Blizzard got it well it might have actually been a good thing but again, they won't want to compete versus their own money maker.

Really what kind of "decent " publisher could have taken this game that did not have it's own money maker competing against it?I was actually extremely shocked that Trion took it in.

Rift - is a PvE game. ArcheAge is PvP-RP game. They won't steal customers one from  another.

I think Trion will cash in a lot on Arche Age.

Also with out Russian playerbase - it might be difficult to get decent numbers on EU side.

Trion, who are the NA publishers, seem to be having "issues" lately.

After watching this video, i don't want to play this game anymore. Look at combat animations and sound effects, it is.. Aion. Robotic movements, clanky sound effects.. I hated those in Aion and this game has them too? No thanks. Also, video isn't impressive at all.

Stages of a new mmo: 1) It's just beta. It still has plenty of time before release. 2) It just launched. Give it time. WoW wasn't built in a day. 3) We don't need you anyway. 4) F2P announced. 5)Huge influx of players. 6) Look how much has changed. 7) Cash shop is the only thing developed lately. 8) It has been a long journey and we thank everyone who was part of it. Shutting down in 3 months. (Courtesy of Robokapp.)

Considering that the early starter kits at Mail.Ru crashed the VISA payment system in Russia last week (apparently over 500,000 players tried to give them money all at once) and many of these were european players (not russians), I would say Trion has made a big mistake. Especially that rumour has it, that an english patch (hack) is about to appear for the russian version.

The ping from european cities to the russian Archeage servers in Moscow is much better than the ping to Trion servers. PvP players kinda appreciate that...

Wow, that looks truly awful and dated.

    Thanks for the warning.
