    dang you guys got it already?? i went to 4 stores and none of em had it ... they are all too slow and stupid.

    You know, a retailer can be fined up to $50,000 for selling a game early. It's supposed to be sold on the 29th. The game is shipped to the stores the 28 (today).

    Not quite, the game was shipped today from the Square to all the retailers.  Today is what they call release day and tomorrow is called shipped to stores day.  They ship it today, stores get it the next day and sell them.  If you are lucky and your retailer is located in a major city near an airport /or they same day ship it, then some people can get it on release day and not the proposed ship day.  I ran an EB for 6 years.  Trust me on this one.

    It's too bad I'm planing to play thief, then Dragoon with DK as subclass. But damn it, Dragoon won't be available until expansion, and the game won't be available until next week cuz I'm in Australia !!! image

    So is it running well?  I dont get my copy till this afternoon and was just curious if they were having any patching issues or anything like that which has caused so many problems on other mmorpgs first days.

    Im excited to play and just hoping I wont be spending the next couple days trying to patch and get my account working or anything.  image

    My copy has been delivered, but I'm at work and won't get to play for another 2 hours :( My best friend just got his delivered and got it installed, he said it's taking a while to get everything patched/updated/whatever. And he's on the school's T3 or whatnot, so if you're on 56k, expect at least 2 hours worth, though I'd be estimating around double that.

    I finally managed to find it in stock somewhere on my lunch hour. No I want to go home and start playing though, hehe.

    It took me around 2 hours to patch everything and I am on cable....so if you are a 56K person it might take a while.....

    It takes an estimated 10.5 hours to patch at 56k.
