cant login ingame - can login with account @ wow homepage

in World of Warcraft

I just bought the game and registered an account, with credit card.

I had installed the game pre retail purchase from a download at this page: http://www.fileplanet.com/158404/download/World-of-Warcraft-Trial-[Full-Client

the game was purchased in sweden, and I registered at the european wow site(http://www.wow-europe.com/en/)

I can now login on my account on the wow homepage. altough I can not login ingame.

I logged in to patch at first though and that went fine. but now I can login =/

is it that my game is the US version? so that it tries to connect to the US server, which my account is not registered?


also im posting here couse I cant post in the wow tech support forums, says "restricted forum" when i try to. and my name on the forums is somehow set to "Anonymous" and I cant find a way to change it =/

    Thats strange it should work... But you said you got it in sweden? Well it shouldnt be a problem. But where the hell did you buy it? It maybe depends on. The guy that sold it to you maybe gave you an american version or sumthin. Try re-install. If that dosent work man do complain to the guy who sold you the game and say that you want your money back cos it isnt working. And if he gave you the wrong version of the game. Then yes it is his fault. Hope its gonna work mate.

    Yes it is that the game is the us version. To play with a european account you also need the european version. Since they connect to a different login server. Install your european version and you should be fine.

    I reinstalled with the Cds and it worked =) thanks guys

    I have a few questions though =)

    when selling stuff to vendors I put the items in the "buyback" tab, I get the money, but the items still remain, and I can even take them back. Now the buyback tab is full though and I cant sell anything more =S how do I keep my money and get rid of the stuff hehe?

    about talents and abilities? is there any limitations as to how meny spells I can learn? Or should I just learn em all hehe =)? thanks

    Nice to see it worked out ::::28::

    To sell stuff to a vendor just right click the item you want to sell. The buyback function is used, like it says to buy back stuff. They added it because alot of people managed to sell their uber items ::::35:: So to sell stuff don't use the buyback page ::::02::

    You can learn all spells the trainers give you the option to train.
    It's abit different with talent points. You only have a limited amount of those and you have to spend them wisely (Or not if that is your wish ::::35::) on stuff you want (Need).

    when you talk to a vendor just right click what item you want to sell and it sells it, the buyback button is there in case you sell something by mistake and want it back.

    for information about talents i suggest you go to the official wow forums and find your specific class's forum (i.e rogue,warrior,shaman..) and there should be a sticky topic with that information. and yes there is a limit, there are several different ways you can specialize so i suggest finding that info before you apply any points, good luck! ::::40::

    Now I need some more help again =/. I tried logging in but when it comes to autenticating it takes like 5 min, then connecting another 5 min, and then when I do get connected it tries to alocate me a new realm.

    So I try looking for bloodhoof, the realm I was playing in, and I can find it. I relog and alt tab. When I tab back im aperantly in bloodhoof, but I have no characters. Im hoping this is some sort of server-client connection problem so that my warlock hasnt been deleted or anything =/

    Also, my internet connection is just fine :S

    anyone know what to do?

    oh, lol @ me for not checking that.

    might aswell ask a few more ingame questions hehe =)

    about these soulshards Im sepposed to be getting, at what lvl will I get that drain thingy to get them? and what are they used for? Also, where can I buy soulshard bags. Im already having trouble with inventory space :S

    and I choose engineering as my proffesion, was this a bad call? Im thinking of doing mining as 2nd so I can get materials for my engineering.

    Not much experience with Warlocks. But I know this:

    Soulshards are used for summoning of players and for soulstones (Way to ressurect people).
    When you get it I don't know. Soulshard bags are made by tailors I think. No idea here though. Sorry for my lack of knowledge here, but I have only played a warlock to lvl 6.

    Engineering ain't bad. Got it myself. Exellent for pvp. You get some nice gadgets and bombs in later levels ::::35:: Mining is also a nice proffesion. Easy to make alot of money on.
