If you buy it from UbiSoft you get a copy of assassins creed 3 with standard edition or assassins creed 4 black flag. I am posting from my tablet and don't know how to copy/paste from it so sry for no link.

Just checked it out and its not worth it, especially for me who was getting Euro price (for India apparently) from Zenimax and USD from GMG. Also,

Normal Edition -> ACIII (which goes for less than 10USD on sales)

    Imperial Edition -> ACIV

So, some people can consider it if they want. I am happy with GMG decision.

    Only 80% more to go.

Yes, corrected this. I got 3 days off my standard when i registered my Beta code and didn't know Imperial had 5 days. Sigh, Zenimax really dropped the bomb on the pre-order bonuses.

I am guessing you got the email from GMG for the 25% discount. Yea, those were account bound only. This one works for everyone but 5% less. I think it's a decent deal.

what about region locks? anyone knows if there are any?

because if i try to buy directly from Zeni i get it in € but from the GMG site it's in $ - and i remember another game who had this pre launch and had region locks and people from Europe who bought the "wrong" region version were locked out and could not play until they bought the correct version.....

    Just my 2 cents...

It will work. If you buy from official EU website you can play at US servers too.

Had a chat with ESO support and they said its fine. Also, GMG has to mention region lock if it exists which they didn't.

So i just used the code to buy the Imperial Edition, which came to $64 with the discount (Awesome! Thanks OP!) but then I got an email from ESO saying:

Thank you for redeeming your pre-order code for The Elder Scrolls® Online. You’re now registered for The Explorer’s Pack which includes the following digital rewards:

    • The ability to play as any race in any alliance
    • The Scuttler vanity pet
    • Exclusive treasure maps
    • 5 days early access to the game before the official launch
but it doesn't say anything about the Imperial items, while the email from Green Man Gaming clearly says:

The Elder Scrolls® Online: Imperial Edition - PC       $64.00

Will I indeed get my Imperial race, horse, and extra pet?

---UPDATE--- I emailed Green Man Gaming and they replied:

"That is just the pre-order code all customers receive. We will be sending the main game code nearer launch."

Is there a way to bring about them sending the 25% discount code?

Yay for living in Australia where the discount brings the imperial edition down to about US$95.

Because pixels are hard to send overseas.

    Or something.

edit - Turns out I can still get both editions for reasonable prices from getgamesgo.com, thankfully.

Why on earth would you rip yourself off and pay the euro price?

Just create a new account, and make sure you set your residence as US. then you'll save yourself €20 in the pre-order price.

It won't effect your game because there are two megaservers and you can hop between them when ever you like.

Also might as well lodge a ticket with them asking them to correct their pricing so it's not racist against your geographical location or place of origin since you are purchasing an internet copy and the internet does care for race, location, gender etc. Should all be treated the same and charged the same. Work the system to your advantage !

Uhm, when you get the Newsletter with the Discount? Short after Sign up?

If this offer wasn't there to bring the price of the imperial edition in line with other games... I wouldn't have bought this game at all. But it is, so I did.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Just pre ordered a physical imperial edition from game uk for £89  im a sucker for boxed editions and all the fluff

also less hassle in 10+years ive never had a late game or problems ..but ive had several issues with digital releases, although i do beleive digital is an awsome format it does take away that unwrapping special feeling of actualy having something in your hands

It doesn't matter if you buy the US or EU version of the game, you will be able to choose which server you would rather play on, so don't worry!

The only thing that will be affected will be latency, so if you are for instance living in the USA and want to play on the EU server, you will probably have a lot more lag than if you were playing on the US one :) That is the only difference that could be a problem!
