I have a Xbox one, and a PC, Controllers (xbox vs mouse and keyboard are not an issue to me)
Trying to decide if I should get the game eventually for the console or the PC
Pro for the PC maybe at least for me is that my MMOs are familiar playing on that platform and I have a high end graphics card
Pro for the Xbox one is that I have a large high def TV and well a couch to sit on lol
Guess this issue would be game play overall, any suggestions on which way to go? Espically for a MMO?
I think some topics came up for the Xbox one vs the PS4, didn't find any threads on vs the PC

I have a PC and PS4, at the end of the day, microsoft forced them to separate all 3 platforms servers, so as we all know mmos last a lot longer on PC, and are generally a lot better in gfx, controls and software like TS3 for guilds and pvp.
Most people are buying it on PC so there PC server will be faaar more populated, and it comes out 2 months earlier on the PC.
Why would Ps4 fans even consider playing an MMO ?
as mmos are social games they require a social chatty community, and you will ever only find that at PCs where everyone has a keyboard..
Best MMO experiences : EQ(PvE), DAoC(PvP), WoW(total package) LOTRO (worldfeel) GW2 (Artstyle and animations and worlddesign) SWTOR (Story immersion) TSW (story) ESO (character advancement)
Play the game beginning of April (PC)
or wait another 3 months to play in June (XBOX)
EQ2 fan sites
Lots of playstation fans play final fantasy XIV and DC Universe and soon Planetside 2. EQN will be on PS4 as well. Warframe is becoming popular as well on PS4. And many console gamers are looking forward to Destiny and The Division, those two are very anticipated games for the console market.
MMOS will be big on this generation of consoles.
The Division makes me excited in the pants area... and I'm considering it on console even though I haven't bought a next gen console yet... otherwise.. I can see myself playing ESO on a PS4... maybe an Xbox One.. but I like the idea of not having to have PS+ for ESO a little bit more...
I unfortunately because of what I think is a stupid model may have to get both the PC and PS4 version. First PC, because I'm primarily a PC gamer, especially for MMOs. Then for the PS4 because I have a couple of people that won't touch the PC that may try this game. I won't touch the Xbox because already we are seeing cases of games where the frame rates dip in half versus the PS4 counterpart. Tomb Raider just released is an example of that. If it cant handle that game similar to the PS4, what's it going to be like on the Xbox when lots of people are running around on the screen at the same time on max settings? lol.
On a side note, I still believe all MMOs should be cross platform since in all platforms you can plug a keyboard and mouse or controller into them and some people honestly believe they can control the game better with a controller so if they think that, let them continue using it. What difference does it make? lol Its their choice.
There Is Always Hope!
You missed the point..
people playing on consoles will miss out on the most important part of the mmo, the social interactio n..

Or they could follow the instructions on Sony's site for using a keyboard.
1. Plug it into the usb port.
2. Use it.
You could play TESO on ps4 with a mouse and keyboard entirely just like a PC user. And pretty much anyone who has a computer from the last decade has a usb mouse and keyboard.
OP - If given the choice between playing TESO on a console or PC (assuming a decent gaming rig) I'll take the PC. If your PC is, for whatever reason, less capable than your Xbox One, then buy it on X1. Simple.

If you have a choice, the answer is always PC. There will be mods for ESO btw.
Honestly, I'm a bit worried about the console megaserver populations. Pretty sure they might combine the PS4 and XB1 mega-servers in the future.
PC. Keyboard + mouse are better suited for chatting and menu browsing, and PC monitors are better suited to display the stupid number of interface elements most MMOs normally have without the screen being completely cluttered with them. If you happen to have SSD, then the PC will also win in loading times.
If you have friends going to play ESO on either platform, then decide based on that and go with those friends.
EDIT: Also one thing to consider, what if ESO does really well. You can return to a PC game 5 years from now if it's still going, and they might even have updated the graphics to match modern PCs. If you play on a console the graphics can never really be updated because the hardware limitations remain same.
I chat with people in my free company (guild) all the time that is playing on a PS3, they use a keyboard hooked up to it to chat.
PC.
More populated. Better graphics. Choice of communication software. KEYBOARD AND MOUSE gameplay, KEYBOARD AND MOUSE gameplay, KEYBOARD AND MOUSE GAMEPLAY, ability to wear headphones that don't cost $200, I like to play with keyboard and mouse because it is empirically more precise than any controller, I also like to win in PvP, so these go hand in hand.
If you get on the PC you can play with your keyboard, and you can play also with your mouse at the same time. I can't believe people with high end computers are choosing a sony or microsoft funbox over their clearly superior MMO machine. That is a disgrace.
Also, all your top tier guilds are going to be on the computer.
Honestly sitting on a couch does not beat keyboard and mouse / comms / guilds / population / faster patches / alt tabbing for game info off internet / playing music while gaming / keyboard and mouse in an FPS.
At this point, what ever you are comfortable with really, console systems nowdays are powerful and are on par with mid range gaming PC's, also PC systems are not going to get much stronger, computers are almost at what we call a technological singularity, the next step will be virtual reality systems like RIFT Oculus, Quantum Computer with Biological Components (and no it's not sci fi), think about it, we have games nowdays that can look almost life like, ARMA 3 for example, how much more can we do in terms of GFX and computing power that is relevent to gaming, not much is the answer, that being said today concole gaming systems like Xbox One & PS4 are on par with PC system and will remain on par for the foresable future.
Back when we had PS2 and even PS3 you could easly see that there was a ton of room for technological growth in gaming, from better AA, Game Physics and so on, but now we are there.
So my advise to you is buy what you deem is the best for your life style, really at this point you can do the same thing with both PC and console, both support mouse & keyboard, both support game pads & controllers, both can surf the internet, both can stream media, both can play games of the highest detail and both can be used with monitors and 60 + inch flat screen TV's.
This will never happen because microsoft won't ever allow it, microsoft HATE cross platform gaming, they will never allow pc xbox and ps4 to play together, ffxiv wanted to be on all 3, and microsoft said if it come sout on xbox then the pc and ps4 and xbox cannot be cross server, they must be all separate.
Microsoft are the bane of the future of gaming cross platform, its digusting. thats why Square E turned down microsofts money and kept ffxiv pc and ps4 and made it crossplatform, but ESO has given into greed and will be 3 separate server forever.
