Hello,

I have read reviews from magazines and people who haved played the beta.

I've become very interested in this MMO, and don't mind it being instanced etc.,

Also, hearing the fact quest accomplishment is important is a plus.

..but I heard alot of the quests are repeatable?

I was wondering if someone from the beta could answer this question for me?

Not without breaking NDA they couldn't...

Which brings me onto an important tangent.. Many of the posts here, especially (/all) the negative ones, are breaking NDA. It's a shame that people who dislike a game will willingly break something they've agreed to whilst those who like it willl faithfully stick to it. Surely it should apply in both cases?

Eitherway, rereading, the devs have said that quests are repeatable but with diminishing returns :)

The people that don't like don't care if they get their Beta revoked.

Yes you can repeat quests, you get less XP for them, and right now you HAVE to repeat quests to level up. It's early beta so this may change as they add more quests.

Btw, breaking the NDA just so some can post their opinions, not caring wether they'll have theit beta revoked, is simply unethical. The devs have an NDA for a reason, because it gives a chance for those who'd really like to try the game, to play the game without prejudice. Since those who like the game, won't brake the NDA ( because they respect the NDA, or simply don't want to lose their Beta account ), and those who dislike it might, the balance will be lost, more negative opinions will see the light of day, and surely you agree, this is unethical.

Apparently, the NDA is in place to (hopefully) prevent the testers from revealing how horrid this game is. Obviously, it is not working.

I absoutely agree this is unethical, however I just don't care. If this is the worst thing I ever do in my life, I think I still might make it to heaven.

Bah I understand that the NDA must not be broken to hide certain game information and not spoil it for players awaiting the game, Its actually a pretty rare occurrence for someone to break the NDA unless the game is just unbearable. Not saying that this is the case, but some people just don't seem lto like the idea very much that they will be paying, monthly, for a 95% instanced game, and the fact of no PvP and the fact that, their leveling system sounds horrid. Who honestly wants to do quest after quest after quest, mind you that it is some of the SAME quests, over and over.

As if that isn't boring enough, they jipp you on experience, and loot? Everytime you complete it. doesn't sound very intriguing, but that is just me.image

Ontop of all of that, their group oriented play sounds like a great idea at first. But unless you got your local DnD squad or gaming group with you at all times, your gonna have to do the dreaded "PICKUP GROUP OF DOOM." Which in most cases can just completely ruin this kind of gaming experience. Anyone that has played a team oriented MMO and hasn't had one of these groups by now, hold your breath and close your eyes counting backwards from ten slowly, to prepare yourself for this info, Your the guy that made the group, the group from hell. image

With that being said, my ramble of nothing is completed,

NDA have many reasons to exist.

Sometimes a company enhance the hype this way, by releasing the information at the speed they desire.

I would encourage everyone to respect the NDA, however I would blame Turbines (again hehe) if someone break a NDA, since they pick those beta tester over other which would not have break the NDA! (Me I would not have play beta, I am a spoiled brat fan who want to experience the game fully and to harass the CS if I want with no restrictions!) image

Is DDO good?  I dunno, I keep asking myself this question many times a day (I need to get a life I know).  It has some great potential and it show a clear lack of respect for the D&D long term fanbase, they consider Neverwinter Night as the only basic of any D&D product and they split road further from that new starting point, which is a mistake, Neverwinter Night was already WAY OFF IMO.  To go farther is...an arguable decision at best!  Can the game be nice and fun?  We will see.  I will most certainly praise/rant in a week or so after the official release date, unless Lepidius or En1gma decide to cut my writing privilege at DDO release for any reason!  image

Really? I played in the stress test and currently in beta and never had this problem. In fact, I was advancing levels without even finishing all the quests in my level.

    ???
