Hey guys,

if youre in 2 minds about coming back to eve, now is the time! :) They addressed a *lot* of issues inc drones & jet can mining and are still plugging a lot of new material.

Dont be shy now hehe

No its not wait least a week because ive yet to see rmr damn game down everytime people try.
  • lowradslowrads Member UncommonPosts: 200

Yup. If you wanna go with the free trial and get the full experience, you might want to wait a day or two till expansion bugs are worked out. It's a bit bumpy right now, but it's usually like with any expansion.

To err is human. To fall off the wheel powering the server is gerbil..an. Or are we still with hamsters?

I quit playing thjis game about 6 weeks ago but its a top class game and i dont really have a bad word to say about it. However the new RMR update will have introduced a few bugs no doubt and i hear they are still having some nasty issues with lag atm particularly in hub systems.

I'd give it a couple of weeks before anyone tries the game out for the first time. Should be just enough time for the excellent dev team to iron out the wrinkles. Anyone looking for a full on immersive ADULT game could do a lot worse than try this out. I'll probably go back myself in the new year.

Ok :) NOW is the time to try it again :) RMR issues seem to be smoothed out and play is significantly better than I ever remember it being.

I'm in the process of giving it a 5th or 6th try myself.

RMR ROCKS!!! Further, I have been led to believe that the developers have a 7 year plan for expansion/improvement, should keep anyone happy for a long time!

Actually so far I've found RMR to be relatively 'ho hum'. Eye for an eye and a few other features are "nice" but overall the patch really caters to players with pretty well developed characters. Newer players really won't notice the changes much. For us the game really didn't change except some of the security features like crim flag for trying to steal a can.

Kind of wish they'd done some more low-end stuff for the noobs. Game is very noob unfriendly as is. I've been playing for 3 months of active account time on my character and still can't use 99% of the stuff RMR added. I can't even use a tractor beam yet... GRRRR.... 16 more days of training and I will be able to get one.

LOL Dinion :) I'm playing Battlefront II alot now as well :) Though DAOC still takes up most of my time. I've hopped on EVE now and then now that the account is active again but it's strictly a secondary game for me.

The game I have enjoyed most, asside from DAOC, though.... is Episode III for my X-Box... that game is just downright fun.

well i think that i`m gonna give it another shot...I played in summer for month or two but when came up cold war,it somehow disappointed me.There was some stupid bugs and so and unfortunatley my subs went off maybe on 4-5th day after cw deployment. So i somehow didnt renew it ::::15::

But now after that long abstinence i think i`m gonna risk it ::::01:: mainly coz my plans for gettin wow account didnt work out well ::::03::

But as i checked out forums and stuff, today,i found that they did some neat improvment to hardware so there should be less lag,and also noticed theres another peak record, omg it was 12-13k back in days i played and now theres 22k ::::04::

So i hope it will be much better surprise than cold war was for me :p

Has anyone tried out the changes to the T1 frigates?  One of you mentioned little difference for new players, but I would think that would be a rather big change.  I think it is always great when they change the mechanics a  bit to make noobs more useful.  The missle changes months ago helped with this and now I would hope to think the new frigs will do so again.

What changes to T1 frigates? I haven't noticed a difference at all with my condor?

    Ahh ok
Not too bad, I didn't realize they'd increased the condor's tackling ability because my skills aren't quite up to tackling yet... still training up to 5's so I have enough powergrid and cpu to mount all the crap I need on it.

I do not like that they lowered teh power grid of the caracal though... that could be a problem... when I equip with heavy missiles to do tier 3's it's going to make it tough to properly equip my ship.

I must admit reducing the Caracel's powergrid is going to be one annoying feature I'm going to have to get around. So eng to lvl 5 it is... sigh why doesn't any other skill really help the powergrid like Engineering. It would be blissful, even the stadard Kestral would be a tough kitty in combat against cruisers f there was a second skill like eng.

    Ps,

Post any skills that help like Engineering for the powergrid, I would be o-so-happy if you anyone knew any

Advanced Weapon Upgrades (requires Weapon Upgrades V)

Shield Upgrades (shield extenders are FTW now)

Welp... I reactivated... tried it.... tractors are nice and there are other nice changes as well. But the low end game is still just a tad too monotonous for me. I prefer my game to be a bit more entertaining and a bit less 'work'.

Will be sticking with DAOC. Good luck to those who enjoy EVE. It's just, still, not my cup o' tea.
