Very Mad Right Now....Have a Question

in Final Fantasy XI
Ok I decided to get the game.....spent two hours installing it and getting the PlayOnline thing updated...I try to install Disk 4 which is the expansion...and it says FF XI isnt installed.....now i have to reinstall it....But this is my question, and I HOPE I read it wrong....In the instruction manual I believe I read where you have to pay for each character you create...Did I read that wrong? image

    Nope, that's right.  $12.95 a month base.  $1 extra per character, and for Tetra Master.

    You can thank asshole players for that, too. The extra fee is used as a deterrant for people who would otherwise create characters from other nations so that they could kill themselves over and over to make that country lose the region and their real character's country gain in that region. It happened in the beta and it screwed up the conquest for a long time. It was pretty angering.

    Do you know though if the it shows on your bill for the 30 day free trial?   Or nothing until your trial is over.

    Ok let me make it clear,

    Purchase the game for $50 and you can create one character. The first month you play for free, the next months you pay $12.95 each month. If you want to create an aditional character you will have to pay $1.95 something.
