FFXI for the XBOX 360

Is anyone going to be picking this up when it comes out. I know the graphics won't be a huge improvement unless you have an HD TV.
I'll more than likely give it a shot since I stopped playing a few months back. It should be pretty easy to pick up since I played it on the PS2 and now I'll be moving to a new console.
Just wondering if anyone else will be picking it up or if anyone knows anything about transferring accounts to the 360?

not me, I'm sticking with the ps2. I paid enough for that version. Might as well use it.

actually speaking of which, I found out that in this months xbox magazine there will be a FFXI beta cd, I believe the magazine was comming out on the 17th, I for one will be rushing to pick this up, can't beat playing FFXI a couple of months in advance for free, I can't imagine how much beta testing would need to be done really since it is already a 4 year old game.. unless they are trying to change alot in the 360 version.. geuss we will see on the 17th.
i just got a 360 today! and i will be picking up a copy, but by the way, wasnt this game suppose to come out in november?! when is it suppose to come out?

according to EB may, so you still have a little ways to go, which is why I suggest checking the xbox magazine on the 17th, it will help alot with the waiting

We're just sitting and waiting in FFXI actually. We're waiting for the next big newbie rush (xbox360) can't wait to have ya.

A few things I will hate about the 360 users... When the exp comes out, I'll wanna try to bluemage, meaning I have to play with ppl that will probably get me killed alot. Actually, thats my real only gripe, lol. When i first played I was an importer on the JP version like a year before it came out, and EN players were forced to become good players by atleast lv14 and understand renkei's(Skill chains) and were expected not to miss them, same with magic bursting. Then a few moths after EN comes out, the noobs wont even use renkei's claiming its a waste of time, when you can get alot of extra damage off of them slowing downtime. XBOX people, I only have one request for you. Sometime in your lv 1-11 range, plllease learn a macro to use your Weapon Skills, warriors make a provoke macro, mages make heal macros etc etc...
meh, don't worry we xbox users got a couple months to learn all the stuff, hopefully we won't be too noobish by the time they actually release it. Which come to think of it, is probably the real reason why they are doing this beta. The game has already been out for a couple of years, and the only real issues they might have to deal with is some of the imported code, but really I doubt a couple months worth of beta testing is really needed, so I conclude they are just de-noobing us for you ps2 and pc players
I don't know why you are asking new people to do specific things in game when they don't even have it yet. If you are so worried about getting killed by the lowly new players...why don't you help them get better when 360 launch hits.
