LOL you nailed that head on. I don't think hes done anything or he would know the curse of Burled wood.  Anyways, the game is awesome the building potential is mind boggling and some of the features with not even 60% fully implemented is amazing. I don't even want to think about EQnext yet because I would have that 3 min checking eq next website curse for the next year. Can't wait.

@jeleena mine was having the same issue until I edited the usersettings.ini file (I am at work so going off memory here) in the game directory and changed the line MaximumFPS=10000 to MaximumFPS=30 now my card handles the game without getting hot or sounding like a jet taking off.

I honestly have to say, even in its alpha state I have been enjoying Landmark more than any MMO I've played since EQ1 and early WoW.  Now I love Minecraft, Terraria, and Starbound, and have logged or am currently logging a ridiculous number of hours in those games so this settler/sandbox type gameplay is very much my "thing".

The community has, for the most part, been really great.. with the exception of the few people who just have no concept of ALPHA, and the the few elitist jerks/insane fan boys who will jump on anyone for suggesting changes they would like.. that's 3/4 of the point of doing alpha this way, and Dave even said as much in the intro video you can't skip when you first start.  They need and want that kind of feedback, positive and negative, about the systems that are currently in place.  The "elite" types need to realize they're going to hurt the game if they tell people to STFU when they have legitimate concerns or suggestions.  Then again there is a difference between saying you hate the character creation or crafting systems (if you can really call them that right now they're so basic)  and making suggestions for what you'd like them to be like when they're finished.  It should be painfully clear to anyone without their head stuck up their butt that those systems are placeholders right now, perhaps if it was a low budget FTP game but this is a triple A game from SOE who have given us some of the best crafting systems in the industry, and their other games have quite good character creation so I'm not in the least bit worried.

I wholeheartedly agree, and it is hurting the game.  I had a short list of reasons in my letter to CS why Landmark wasn't for me, and one of those was criticism for their lack of moderation on the forums to control the toxicity these people were nurturing.  So, yes, it was a factor to help me make a decision on whether to stay or get a refund.
