Here are my predictions in regards to the type of players joining each alliance.

    The Ebonheart Pact
The Ebonheart Pact would consist of the large majority of players, because of the popular race of a Nord. Skyrim was such a huge hit that I feel that people (mostly kids) will play in this Alliance for the self sense that they are dragonborn.

    - Largest Alliance
    - High Population of Nords
    - Average age players 13-17 (mostly kids)

    The Aldmeri Dominion
The Aldmeri Dominion would mostly consist of Role-Players and Role-Playing guilds, why? Because of their lore and back story, possibly because of Queen Ayrenn in which players find the enjoyment of saying "FOR THE QUEEN!"

    -Smallest Alliance
-Highest Population of Role-Players and RP Guilds

    The Daggerfall Covenant
The Daggerfall Covenant would consist of PvP focused players and PvP Guilds, I predict it's because of the Races for Max/Min type players that want the best bonuses for their builds instead of how the race looks.

    -Medium Size Alliance
-Highest Population for PvP focused players and PvP Guilds

Of course this is my own predictions

Ebonheart Dark Elf though I might be persuaded to go Aldmeri Dominion High Elf.

    I just hate the desert.

I think Ebonheart will be the most popular since Dark Elves are always a popular choice and it includes two regions from the more popular games (one being the most successful one); Morrowind and Skyrim.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

I would tend to agree with you on the population type (not the size though) of both AD and DC.

But I think DC will be the lowest population of them all.

Also, at first I thought EP would be the biggest by a lot, but AD seem to have gotten a lot of steam lately (interesting what a pretty face/voice can do... ;)  ).

Regardless, I think  AD will be in the middle ground on this one.

To make a DAoC comparison, my prediction would be kind of like it was on my server :

EP will be like Alb (aka "The zerg"),

    AD like Hib (damn hibbies!!)

and DC like Mid (underdog as far as pop. goes, but full of pvpers who can overcome some pretty unfavorable odds)

Daggerfall.  Undecided between redguard and orc though.

Guess I could change alliance, but I doubt I will.  I do not know Elder scrolls lore so it is all the same to me.

Aldmeri Dominion.  I'm typically drawn to the imperialistic side in mmos/rpgs.  Now just need to decide between Dunmer or Argonian.

Matt Firor has eliminated any meaning for a faction choice. The only difference between the factions is the name...thanks to his latest decision.

And the reasons why the faction is fighting, impressed on you by the story line. But hey, obviously only the races mattered at all.

I think at the weekend i'll have to try all 3 so i guess no sleep for me (insomnia has a use) .. as i know only one person who plays mmo's and as far as i know he only plays WoW then it doesn't matter which i'm in as no-one else plays it (I started playing mmo's when b4 EQ was out lol)

I got the Imperial Edition from GMG since it had a percentage off and went down to £56 so race isn't a worry .. I think there will be more people playing what are the 'bad' guys since they tend to go for those over 'good' guys

The Aldmeri Dominion will be full of teenagers who just joined because of Kate Beckinsale (who wasnt even the best choise, she was only chosen because shes hot, which is stupid for a voice) because they somehow dream of getting it with her when they join xD

Not sure what race I'll be playing, though it will be one of the human ones, but I think I'll be going Ebonheart Pact.  You start off in Skyrim then go to Morrowind, which looks absolutely beautiful and has a lot of the character of the Morrowind sp game.  The other 2 alliance's starting areas just didn't do it for me.

When you want a Human race in the Pact, play Nord!

With the faction unlock for races does it even matter?  Just pick whatever starting area you want and play with all the other races.

They might as well just remove the alliances altogether now since it doesn't make much sense for them to exist.  Complete dogs dinner.

I might, but I'll have to see what racial bonuses Imperials get and what they look like since I bought the Imperial version of the game.  And no, I didn't pay full price.  I bought it through Greenmangaming, which had a 20% discount going and with another coupon code I had, I ended up paying $52 for it, which was only $2 more than the regular edition.

GMG offered 25% off both versions. The difference would have been about $15.

Ever since I played Morrowind, I've loved me some Dunmer.  So Dunmer it is, and sticking with the Pact.

Yeah, it was 20% or 25%.  I can't remember.  I had some other discounts available to me, which was another $12 or $13 off.  Whatever the numbers were, I ended up paying $52 for it.

Nord because it helps represent my Swedish/Scottish heritage, or Redguard because it relates to my Australian present.

    Still torn between these two.

Playing: Darkfall New Dawn (and planning to play Fallout 76)
Favourite games have included: UO, Lineage2, Darkfall, Lotro, Baldur's Gate, SSX, FF7 and yes the original Wizardry on an Apple IIe

I'm guessing you haven't seen the movie "Her" with "just" Scarlett Johansson's voice.

I'm saving the Morrowind and Skyrim areas for last, since it will probably be a ton of fun exploring them with all the content at level 50, will likely be spending most of my time there at end game.

Starting as Daggerfall Covenant, then onto Aldmeri areas and finishing with Ebonheart Pact
