Favors owed for various things and dependent on the marker they can be serious. they are rarely exchanged for cash and most often exchanged for help in a dire situation.
for example if i bail someone out of jail thats a major marker and they return the favor when i need it.
but if they just help me fix a flat or give me gas then its a minor marker not worth as much.
its more or less an honor system.
but i have 49 minor markers i can call, and 13 major ones.
i dont use them at all actually i just sort of accumulate them.
because i dedicate most my time helping the helpless.

I'm sorry but you say helping the helpless.. which sounds selfless.. and dont get me wrong im not saying your not a great guy.. but the whole idea of helping people and being genuine about it you dont even consider them as markers.. its just helping someone out and you should forget about the markers.. the fact you know of every marker as you say.. means you count on them at some time in your life. just do the deed and dont expect anything in return if you do get something in return great. but dont count on it, if it is a selfless act. if your helping someone out because they say they will give you something in return its a job not a selfless act.
Other then that its great you want to help this girl but consider sometimes helping creates more problems not just for them but for you.. maybe shes better off with no help from the guy... sounds to me the guy is a loser and needs help in other areas.. if you want to help.. get the guy some help so he isnt a druggie and around the child growing up as a druggie.. if you really want to help. thats going to help more then having them still be a druggie and once in awhile giving some money to her when he isnt spending money on drugs.
sometimes you have to take your lesson learned and walk away. if the guy doesnt want help.. walk away.. dont force him to help it will make things worse. at that point dont waste another breath on the guy and if anything help her in any way you can.

What are you? A Godfather? "Markers", jesus. I would have to agree with pretty much everyone else here and suggest a couple things. One, get on with your life. Two, these two people need serious professional help, not "professional" help. Three, unless I am quite mistaken, making threats on a board can also be construed as criminal intent. I believe someone recently got busted for admitting to a crime on a blog. What you are suggesting sounds a lot like premeditated harassment and assault to me. Harassment at work, threatening physical violence, stalking, possible solicitation to commit injury against someone with these "markers".
I mean come on man. I understand you are pissed, I would be too. But by following this course of action, are you not lowering yourself to this person's level? By contemplating and following this thread of thought, you risk putting yourself and others familiar to you into the position of being the bad guy, instead of the person who apparently really is. Then you get the shit end of the stick and they get a walk. I apologize if my initial statement seemed harsh, it was not meant as such. I am a relatively blunt person. But step back and look at the situation a little closer. Do you REALLY want to be like this guy? Getting into trouble, pissing off the ppl around you (and if you follow this course that is a very real probability), getting or increasing a criminal record that WILL follow you?

This is petty high school bs.It has happened a million times over and over again.Think it through and you will realize that this is a situation better left alone.
Let me help ya out.
1.They are NOT in love.This is high school lust at best.
2.Both parties involved are much too young to have kids period.Trust me on this ive got a 2 year old and she is a handful.
3.You can help this girl all you want but it doesnt change the fact that he doesnt have a job and even if he got 1 unskilled labor doesnt pay the bills.The end result is you have 3 kids on govt assistance leeching off the rest of us.
4.He doesnt love her or he would have stayed.
5.How are you going to MAKE him own up to his responsibilty?Call the cops every time you see him?Yea the girl would REALLY like ya for that having the "breadwinner" in and out of county lockup.
6.The best choice both of them could make is to put up the kid for adoption.Sure abortion is an option but by having the baby and MAKING both of them go to birth classes a life lesson is learned.
