I think I will start a Nord only guild.

Only people except Nord who are allowed to join are Khajits and Argonier, but only if they are willing to degrade themself to the status of pets.

After all, everyone who is not a Nord is born inferior!

Love AD! From the lore I read I completely side with their ride to the throne! I think with the pre-order bonus though I'm going to have to bring an Argonian over to the Elfland though =D

Maybe for you it doesn't matter anymore, but clearly it still does for others.  Which, to me, is a sign that unlocking the races isn't going to break the game quite as much as the fans of locked-factions claim it will.

    Aldmeri through and through!

If I break a years-long trend of refusing to preorder anything i'll go with the Daggerfall Covenant. If not then i'll either be unhappy in the Aldmeri Dominion or not playing my first choice of race.

Did the recents game previews change anything?
  • spizzspizz Member UncommonPosts: 1,971

I had fun with the Daggerfall community, we achieved even the first Emperor in RvR in the last weekend beta.

Cant say which faction I will choose, time will tell.

That is the way it usually is with my friends too.

    Not this time!

I will join the DC and hunt them down on the field of battle!

I like the armor style of the High Elves, whatever the ESO equivalent is.

So that means AD for me, as also I imagine on console (XB1) the "popular" faction is going to be EB due to Skyrim.

I went for Aldmeri.  One, because they're the underdogs.  Two, because I don't like my games being -complete- sausage fests, and any faction consisting solely of cat people and elves is certain to have the largest ratio of females to males, to where it might actually feel like the real world!

I will be joining DC, since I don't want to play with those elf girls who mostly care about how they look in the game "Ooh I'm gonna be an elf, so pretty and beautiful". I also don't want to play with those Skyrim kids "Oh man nords are just the coolest so tough and strong, not to mention dragons are cool as well".

Obviously the whole faction won't be like that, but I'm betting a lot of them will. So yeah, DC it is.

My first 2 will be AD. High Elf and Wood Elf. Not worried about repeat content. I may get the 2nd up to level 10 to craft and (more importantly for time sink purposes) research (destructing items to learn their special attributes). Might as well log on/off every so many hours and queue up another research round.

I dont really care. I am not into racism anymore. Yes, it is racism.

It does not matter for me what side I am in.

Ha, wonder what games you have been playing. Other than Wow I haven't played any MMO where I seen more male characters than female in last 5+ years.

I actually haven't been playing any recently.  I just find the alliance race distribution amusing and was giving it a little nod.  Though I still remember the days of vanilla WoW when I'd hop on my half-naked, male night elf named Kandy, with my friend (whose night elf was named Krystal,) and we'd run around reenacting the club-dance routine of Will Ferrell and Chris Kuttan ala Night at the Roxbury.  In our defense, we'd gotten tired of all the guys legitimately pretending to be female, practicing cyber prostitution, and decided to spoof on it a bit.  Particularly because we'd joined a RP server with the hopes of finding real RP and character stories like we'd found in MUDs and NWN before it, only to discover that RP in WoWspeak did not mean what we thought it meant.

I'll take a server full of dudes in ESO, so long as none of them are hitting me up for gold with promises of cyber favors.

I know I want to make an argonian...

But then I might have to switch sides because I don't want queues in PvP and Ebonheart is looking to be "where it's at"!

Daggerfall Imperial Vampire, all the way.

I actually think ES fans will mostly split between EP and DC, with AD a distant third.  Daggerfall, Skyrim, and Morrowind all have nostalgia value for series fans, the closest the series has ever come to the Aldmeri Dominion is including those Thalmor jackasses in Skyrim.  I think non-ES fans will mostly split between EP and AD though, because elves and furries.  So EP will probably be the most populated faction, with which is higher between DC and AD depending in large part on whether the game attracts more ES fans or non-ES fans.

They might as well just remove the alliances altogether now since it doesn't make much sense for them to exist.  Complete dogs dinner.

What doesn't make any sense is your comment.  The conflict is between three sets of nations, not three sets of races.  Under your logic, all the Japanese and/or German Americans who fought for the U.S. rendered WWII meaningless.

Ha ha.  Great analogy there with the World Wars.  Let's not also forget that TES itself has a very firm history of race mixing in all its games.

As for the populated factions, I actually think AD will remain the lowest populated, and Ebonheart the most.  The Elder Scroll series has sold so many boxes compared to really any MMO aside from WoW, that very few people will play this game that never played a TES game.
