HELP! *repost

I'm bored out of my mind and need a new game to play.

I have a Mac so I'm kind of limited to what games I can play until I figure out how to dual boot Windows 7.

Dota 2?

Return to World of Warcraft?

To give an example of the games I've played and am growing tired of are, Diablo 3, League of Legends, Guild Wars 2, Guild Wars 1, I tried the ESO beta but it just wasn't for me.

I know LoL, Diablo and Dota 2 aren't MMO's, at least I don't think.

I can't seem to find excitement in any of the games lately. I haven't played WoW in awhile but I was told to wait for the expansion pack to come back. Maybe I'm just here to bitch.

Any suggestions?

SWTOR is good and doesn't cost you anything to download + give it a go, even if you didn't like what you seen at launch, it has come a fair way. Costs do come later when you get more into it but it's a decent F2S game (free-to-start).

TERA isn't bad if you're after a bit of random level up fun.

FFXIV is a decent game but not for everyone.. quite differently paced than most games.

Otherwise just hold out for the upcoming generation of MMOs really. (Elder Scrolls, Wildstar, Everquest) though ESO is the only close one upcoming.

Sorry if they don't run on mac, not really sure if many MMOs do honestly. You could check out something called PlayOnMac.

The only excitement you'll find in most games these days won't be yours, it'll be the investors clapping their hands as more idiots flock to a new overlay over the same old game and start throwing money in the cash shops. Since quite a few MMO's are geared toward the 'solo experience' anyhow, your best bet is to find a good old fashioned single player or multiplayer game. It'll save you a lot of money by the time the boredom that WILL come starts to set in and causes you to hop to the next game. The era of the MMO has come and gone... welcome to cash shop extravaganza!

I've tried SWTOR multiple times and it's just something that doesn't appeal to me. I haven't tried it within the last year so maybe some content updates have made it better. I'll have to check it out.

I don't mind throwing cash towards a game, in all honesty I really do love paying for a great MMORPG. They put all of this time and effort into something that they've worked on for years for US[ the gamers] so why not return the favor with some 20's.

~Thanks for the responses so far.

I'm actually really excited for WIldstar but the release date is TBA as I have heard it will be released later than Q2.

I've played some first person games, Borderlands 2, Bioshock but I just don't find the satisfaction in it.

Maybe I need to refind my love for some of the games I used to play!
