Beta release Date?

Hello, everybody! I've been reading in their web the approximate date to release but I thought I found somewhere else that Alpha would last around 1 month and then comes beta. So is this true? Can we expect beta in early March?

PS: I couldn't find the sources and that's why I finally decided to post it here, didn't mean to be a lazy user :)

    If you look at the trailblazer packs it shows that the closed beta will start on or before march 31st and alpha will start before Feb 28th. We got the alpha a month earlier than first expected but that doesn't guarantee the beta will come early. For now expect closed beta by the originally stated date.

    Final release wil be April 4th, ESO launch date or just before it, they want to make sure they put it out before ESO so they don't lose their subs to ESO because they are tired of waiting.

    Two completely different markets.  I highly doubt SoE gives a shit about ESO.  Thats an advantage of having a diverse stable of games, the only game ESO would be a threat to in theory is EQ2, but that game's population is pretty stable and is mostly lifers at this point who arent going anywhere.

    End of Alpha Wipe

    • Timing: Occurs at the end of Alpha testing, which begins on or before 2-28-14
    • Character: Your character will be retained, however all progression will be wiped.
    • Claims: Your claim(s) will be wiped. All claims will be templated so that you have blueprints of what you built.
    • Resources and Collected Objects: All resources and collected objects will be wiped.

    End of Closed Beta Wipe

    • Timing: Occurs at the end of Closed Beta testing, which begins on or before 3-31-14
    • Character: Your character and all progression will be retained.
    • Claims: Your claim(s) will be wiped. All claims will be templated so that you have blueprints of what you built.
    • Resources and Collected Objects: All resources and collected objects will be retained.

    What subs? EQN and EQNL are free to play games.

    Final release for EQNL is not likely to within the first half of this year. Second half, maybe.
