In less than a month, WildStar’s beta has been patched with two huge content updates. Now that the level cap raised to 50 and endgame opened for testing, Winter Beta 3 could be the most interesting patch so far. Gareth Harmer goes over the details, and explains why a launch announcement can’t be far off.
This may have already been stated and I do apologize if it has since I've not read the thread but someone else posted NCSofts financial statement in the Guild Wars forums over the last few days and it states that Wildstar is slated for release in the 2nd quarter of 2014. Based on where the game is right now I can see them hitting a mid April or late April launch date. The devs have done a stellar job with Wildstar and based on that financial report it looks like they won't be rushed to get this title out the door, which is a great thing.
Originally posted by Tykam123 Super excited, the download keeps failing for me on the beta, so im a little pissed at the game atm, but I am trying to keep in mind its only the beta lol!
Turn of your firewalls all of them ( windows + antivirus)
So sad that they're keeping closed lipped about the release date. With so many highly anticipated MMOs coming out this year people are trying to pick which one they want to dedicate their time towards. Not everyone can afford to buy each and every game that comes out. With the whole uncertainty about the release date, people are going to becoming increasingly skeptic about whether or not it's going to be released anytime soon.
Don't get me wrong, I'm loving EQN: Landmark as it is a fun game. But the actual Everquest Next has absolutely no release time frame at this point. Landmark goes from alpha to beta in March, and from there we might get a launch of Landmark before Q3. Everquest Next is likely possible in late 2015 early 2016 at this point. That will give Wildstar and ESO time to mature.
I am sure EQN will be awesome, but I doubt it will "school" Wildstar as they are two different types of MMO. Wildstar is themeparky, and EQN is going Sandboxy. Not really a fair comparison as both types have their own fanbases, and then there are people like myself that enjoy both types of MMO's.
Spring is from March till June. So a Q2 release is possible. I've said that they'll give a release date & preorder info at PAX East (speculation of course).

Riiiiight. You deserve a beta because .... well..... Sorry I can't see why you think you're entitled to be in the beta.
EQN is going to school this POS.
