50 from levels...is the only other source from the shards?  How many are possible then? 100?

With 50++ a player playing a single main char i estimate around 85-90. But yea I am just guessing.

I'd say at least 100, probably more.

Though it's going to be time consuming to find all the skyshards.

i was level 13 last beta, and I had like 25 points to spent. Quests give you points, PVP Rank up's give you points, shards give you points.

I guess later on you really have many skillpoints, so a "fail" build is hardly to get.

I assume in the end you can master each weapon / skill or at least 80% of it

I would not even know where to spend 50

I asked this very question in this AMA on reddit.

The guy responded with 'in the vicinity of 300'.

I used the calculator on esohead.com and that allows you to cap all 3 class skills, all armor, all racials, 2 weapon trees, a few crafting trees, 2 alliance war trees, all World trees and you'll still have 45 points left.

You get 50 skill points from leveling,

you get skill points from doing instance quests, there is atleast 16 instances at launch, + public and veteran dungeons

Skill shards, i got atleast 10 skill points in beta, and thats just out of the starter area,

you get PVP ranks they give skill points, last i read you get 25 ranks so there is atleast 25 skill points

+ random quests around the world and main story quests rewards

i would guess around 150-200 for a full template character if you get everything done.

Here is a skill calculator if you wana mess with what order u want to go in.

I would say much more than the 80-90 even, 50 level, 50+ levels, 50++ levels, tons of quests that give skill points,  pvp stuff that gives skills, achievments erc, also the later zones have lot of skyshards, some have 6-8  or more even.

Eventually you should be able to max anything you want, that where the limited skill use comes into play so masterfully.

I guess they want you to play the way you like at the endgame (skillwise). It will be more like how do i skill until i have the 300 points

I remember an answer from developer back then:

"you can learn almost every skill possible, not all, but almost all."

The skill points are pretty similar to GW2, you probably even get skill points from levelling after the initial 50 levels.

From leveling, from all 3 factions (yours, 50+, 50++) skyshards, and cyrodiil skyshards. You sit at right about 120.

Assuming skill point award pacing for main story holds up:  About 135 Skill points.

Crafting is the one you wanna try to specialize in... otherwise it will destroy you.  Only part I have no clue on is the Adventure zones, depends how many skyshards can be found in all Adventure zones you will every have access to.

A buttload. Dunno the number. I do know in the achievement tab there is a list of skyshards. It shows what zone and how many shards in that zone. Hell it gives you hints to their location. And there were alot of zones. Most of which tended to have 16 skyshards per zone. Ofcourse some only had line 3 ( starter zones probably ).

I kinda think its not gonna stop going because we are not even aware of all the skill lines out there and in the world, in one of the earlier dev videos he was scrolling over earth magic and also referenced that if you play long enough you can unlock everything....the question is how long will it take until everyone is playing on the same alliance cause they dont like losing to the "big dog" alliance since PvP is meaningless.

when you morph a skill it costs a skill point and it is replaced with a new skill dont really understand the relevance when you respec you will have to re-morph and something tells me that the 2nd set of morphs we get to choose from will also include the one you didn't choose.
