Tyria has gone through some changes during the Living Story. They've been small and mostly temporary, but it seems a much larger change is on the horizon. A change that would could result in the destruction of an entire city! The players in Guild Wars 2 have been waiting for the Living Story to have a major impact on Tyria. They've fought off new armies, elected political officials, and hunted Scarlet. Now all the pieces are about to come together, and the end result may be more than we bargained for.

It will be very cool to see what new hub comes from LA being destroyed. We already know from the massivley preview that many of the functions that LA had will be moved north to the Vigil Keep. Is that a long term solution though? Probably not in its current form.
It would also be pretty neat to see LA being rebuilt over the course of the next living story as well.

I never liked that city, because it is the longest loading map in the game.
It looked really great.
they will prob make u all start grinding some more to 'rebuild it' with 'special' LA tokens to buy time to actually comeout with an 'offcial expac'..somethign many drop outs have requested for.
<.<
thats my take on this.
well since party of story is teh invasion of Lions Arch, it will be rebuild, with maybe some upgrades here and there, waht can happen is they make a new town or let teh operation base against scarlet still up as a new town or even map, we will see when the time happens
LA involved to Wintersday and Hallowin, so it will not be destroyed
otherwise they need to build these events again
Maybe something like what happened to the city of Ascalon in the first Guild Wars
now we will have after searing Lion's Arch :P hahahahaha
