For many reasons. I wish I were him 
Ok so maybe he doesn't get alot of chicks (except that girl that got shot by Sniper Wolf) but I mean who cares, he is so cool.
What do you guys think?

Solid Snake pfffft, Mario is way cooler, I mean Snake just hides in corners all sneaky like while Mario jumps on peoples heads and shoots fireballs and stuff.

Sam Fisher is cool but he doesnt have an attitude as cool as Snakes (plus hes not a pro in hand-to-hand combat or fight super humans).
And the Halo guy doesnt even have a face
but I mean to each his own I guess.

Yea your right, idk what i was thinking with Sam Fisher, but the halo guy!!! So What he doesnt have a face. there are cool characters out there who dont have faces. I cant really think of any right now. I also like the guy from Ninja Gaiden. Ryu Habashi or sumthing like that

I would have to say the coolest female character is Lara Croft. HANDS DOWN.

Mario Brothers was a great game. But for some reason Nintendo thinks it is a marketing genious to make 90% of all their games with some type of Mario theme to it. In other words, they seriously burnt me of all desire of any Mario games ever.
Metal Gear Solid for the Playstation (1) was very very good. Hell, even the original on the NES was great.
Also, I really loved the 1st and 2nd Resident Evil...one of the first games to scare the hell out of me

He is pretty well trained in Krav Maga, don't know really how good because I didn't actually read the book but apparently it says something like that.
Enigma, they remade the original metal gear for GameCube and it's not just a port, it's supposed to have really good graphics and some new stuff (not sure exactly how much new stuff)

Lord the amount of time I spent playing Duke in coop mode wit ha couple of friends, we had over 1200 maps at the end I think.
Sam aint half bad either though, and still in front of anything else I can think of right now, xept Duke of course.

Ha! All you guys are so wrong! The coolest videogame character ever is Hunter. She plays Quake 3 Arena, in case you didn't know (in which case you should drink a bottle of vinegar as punishment for not knowing the important fact!).

Running around and around in a maze with 5 (?) ghosts out to get you? Now that takes balls.

Samus Aran.... that guy is bad ass, mainly cuz you get to know he is a she! That my friend is being cool! Playing the game making you believe its a he, and in the end... its a she! And shes got the Morph ball and all the cool suites (my favourite are the Dark and Light suits from MP2:Echoes)

Gotta Disagree with you there. Besides, he's got a lot cooler hi-tech equipment, he's ALOOOOOT Stealthier, his jokes are a million times better, he's a mean ass interrogater, he can do all sorts of athletic shit, and he can knock a person out with one single strike.
But alright, he doesn't take 100 bullets in the chest and spit em out like snake, i gotta give him that :P yah, snake is also cool. I just like Sam better :P
