Carbine Studios has taken the lid off the new WildStar feature called "Adventures". Adventures, according to the video, are five person simulations that take place in alternate versions of zones you have already played in. They even liken Adventures to a "choose your own adventure" dungeon in the open world where literally anything can happen. Looks interesting, but why do you feel the need to compare it to another game?
Don't you think WildStar can stand on its own, or are you just flame baiting?
so don't buy ESO ill be playing both, and DESTINY.
next year its all about EQN.
ESO should not go free the game is too good.
Been a while since I played/took interests in WoW..
It has something like that? Since when?!?
Think it was introduced in the panda xpac.
Except that scenarios don't have branching paths, they have a few gimmicks, but not really on the scale of what Wildstar is offering. Scenarios were just small group story telling devices, this is more like choose your own adventures.
Certainly better than just repopulating zones with harder mobs.
They had a similar thing, but could only be done at max level, was only done by 3 people, you didn't make choices. It was alright, but very linear imho.
True words by the disclaimerguy, the colors kinda forced me to puzzle through this.
"The disclaimerguy loves you and wants you to be happy so do likewise with your fellow gamers and be excellent to each other. party on !"
Am already excited for the weekend beta and hope i got one of the 40k keys!

Not really. Rift Adventures just teleport you around the map with a raid of people and give you simple objectives. The Wildstar adventures are essentially a different type of dungeon with the following properties:
- Set in the open world maps, except its your groups own personal instance of it.
- Branching choices leading to different experiences.
- Occasional novelty mechanics.
- Story driven.
Other games have had the novelty mechanics, story driven and open world map conversion aspects, but the combination of all those factors and then adding branching choices is what sets it apart.
