This ability seems a neccesarity for tanking ...
are there any other skills that pull an enemy towards you?

No...thank god!
I hate that ability in PvP already, lol. Nothing worse than thinking you got your shot in and are now ready to escape just to have a DK pull you back into the middle of the pack that then destroys you

It's such a "social" skill, lol
Very useful for helping archers and mages get down from those high castle walls...
I especially hate those sneaky DKs cross-dressing and using a staff that come up to the castle wall just to pull you down instead of you getting the easy sorcerer kill you thought you were about to get

Yes there is another skill. And its thematically in the fighter's guild, Silver Leash morph:
Props to heavy-armor-warrior for reminding me in another thread about this.
Good catch! I totally missed that one. And I even have the un-morphed version of that on one of my characters: it uses the graphics of a very cool 1-hd crossbow,

Nice find indeed... This will help a lot with my templar tanking
its stamina based.... Which is lovely... For a templar

Fiery Grip was one of the more whined over skills during pvp conflict, but once I came to understand the games systems I had lots of fun countering it.
In large groups or zergs being gripped into the the middle of the other team was almost certain death. However, grip (and other CC) can be 100% avoided simply by keeping your block up.
Several times during keep battles, I would slowly troll up and down the front lines with my shield raised. Blocking cost a tiny amount of stamina and you can easily maintain it. At times I was being barraged by grip after grip... Hearing them pounding into my Templar's shield and bounce off harmlessly.
Even better was 1v1 encounters where I would throw up block, watch the Dragonknight hit the shield twice... Know they had wasted their resource and then counter with a Shield Charge (stun).
Lots of fun to be had.
Not only for a melee type... Pulling people from keepwalls is priceless

Some of the walls seemed to prevent puling and some did not. So I am not 100% sure of what the intended use is.
On another note, I also saw an attacker pulled from the ground up onto one of the corner keep walls and then quickly beat to death... Which was hilarious at the time.
Have anyone tested?

Only works on Undead, Daedra and Werewolves with passive.
As a non-melee type character I'd never want to pull someone towards me - just my playstyle. Sure, pulling them off a wall or up fora group to bet is a different story - but not my playstyle.
28 is way too far - I do hope this is limited to pve. A range of 28 counters ranged players way too well IMO.
Yeah Iwas kind of wondering about that when I first read the skill in the builder. Why would you want to KD someone for 3.5 sec and then pull them. I mean I can see doing but it seems a little but of a bad synergy.
Its definitely something that needs testing, at least one of the CC are monster type dependent. My guess is Silver leash isn't but who knows.
Haha! You should have seen Storm Defenders in CoH if you think everyone having a pull would be bad. Bring the chaos, rocking the caine!
I don't think fiery grip is necessary in PvE, since all classes have good cc skills and are able to tank adds.
In PvP I don't think its a tank specific skill. I gonna build a DK dps/healer/support with fiery grip :P
Pretty simple really. A heavy attack on a knocked down target is a critical. Fire bolts> knockdown> pull> heavy attack
