I do know that Ranger type classes in all three races has an invis/sneak/cloaking ability. When dealing with RvR or PvP, sneak isn't as useful. From my understanding, if someone has you targeted, and you go invis, they'll still have you targeted.
Invis drains your power pool, so you couldn't go invis for too long. It's basically ment for getting by a dangerous situation unseen and or a surprise attack.
Just my two cents.

The Acretian Scout class has the cloaking option and cloak is actually very strategical. The scout actually does not only have the cloaking but has the skill of planting traps or mines at anywhere and is a great defensive tool. When the scout levels to 40, it can become a phantom shadow (cool name) and learns a one blow kill skill called illusion attack which you can use it while you are in cloak, so it is capable of defending it self, although maybe for one enemy... at least you can stalk a guy who you hate and kill him.
My favorite thing to do in FPS or PvP:
"I'm behind you" then kill. /emote spit
The spitting is the icing on the cake. Worked well in SWG. Adding "rebel Scum" at the end helps too

Dak, you big ledgend
I forgot to mention this about cloaking and here it is. If you are cloaked, nobody can see you except yourself and party members, and nobody includes your own race. If you have a level 4 or above skill at cloaking, you can cloak other people in the surrounding area but they have to remain close to you, i think. You can attack in cloak but once you attack, you drop out of cloak. I'm not sure about this but I think when you attack while in cloak, you do more damage after you drop out of cloak. Also, all cloaking classes have the ability to set traps, which can be purchased. You can hold more traps if your trapping level increases, and traps can only be found by cloaking classes. You can talk while you cloak and it will be seen only by your own race (although they just see a bunch of letters floating in mid air with nothing between it and the ground). Cloaking does cost a lot of your fp(mana) but if you raise it's level to 4 or above, the dropping of mana is barely noticeable, so if you have cloaking use it a lot! I don't think you're right about been targeted and then cloak and is still targeted Dakknon. In the ph beta, when i targeted my scout friend and he cloaked, the target bar(you know the one which shows the hp, difficulty and stuff) disappeared. Or maybe i accidentally click something else. Who knows until the close beta starts.
I have played this game in Korean and Philippines version
for about 3~4 months,
however, I haven't heard/seen/learned that there is a
cloaking class.
May be in the US version, they will incorporate this class
in the game.
BUT, as far as I know, there is no such thing as "cloaking class"

They talked a lot about the cloaked classes, might gonna try them out though, sounds fun with the traps and all .
