Neverwinter: Brazilian Partnership Announced

Perfect World Entertainment and UOL BoaCompra have announced a partnership to bring Neverwinter to Brazil. The game has been fully localized in Portuguese and UOL has exclusive monetization rights for Brazil.

"MMOs account for nearly 75 percent of the Brazilian game market right now, and we've seen incredible demand from our player base for Neverwinter in Brazil," said UOL BoaCompra Director of Global Business Development, Julian Migura. "We're excited to bring Neverwinter's epic storylines, intense gameplay and role play to this massive market and offer players easier access to the extra features they demand using the local payment methods available to them. "

    As a brazillian game developer and hardcore player i find it pretty good and important for our country that more games and titles make these localizations. Brazil has been a great business place for games, but above it, game localization also improve our development potential.

    Good for them. Its a good game in its own right. Not what we originally expected, still a good game.

    Looking forward to see how this game will turn out on consoles. Something tells me it might surprise some other MMO's which plan to launch on PS4/X1..

    Already tried the game in it's Portuguese version. Very good, unfortunately for us in Portugal, the Brazilians use some different words than the ones we use, and sometimes it feels strange, hehe.

    Still, it's great to have the game in our language.

    Damn this game is so good.Fun combat,good graphics,fast levelling,no pay2win cash shop I wish more people played this game its very underrated and underappreciated game.

    Great news for Brazilian gamers, Cryptic Studios and Neverwinter fans.  Neverwinter is one of those products that grow on you if you let it.  IMO it has the best combat and combat animations in the business.

    Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!

    Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!

    Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!

    Now you did mention cash shop - have they changed the wallet busting prices?

    No they havent.But all those expensive items are mostly vanity items so you dont need to buy them to progress in the game.There is nothing pay2win about the cash shop.

    You have not played it very long if you attempt to say it is not pay-to-win when it most certainly is.  If you want to pvp expect to visit the cash shop often.
