[Preview] WildStar: Beyond the Walls of the Thayd

Winter Beta Patch Three has come to WildStar and with it, many significant changes to the game for Beta players. The ability to level to 50 now has to be at the top of the list for most. However the adjustment to the Press NDA has only been to allow coverage for content from level 16-29. So let’s take our first look beyond the City of Thayd and see what is in store for us as we continue our adventures on Nexus. It is striking, as we gaze out past the safety of the walls to see a war torn landscape called Galeras. It is tragic to see such a beautiful area, with great flowing white flowers and herds of beast grazing in such a state. Dominion has established battle lines right at our door step, reminding us just how tenuous our hold on our new home really is.

The picture given here looks like Lich King xpac when you first get there by using the boat in Menethil Harbor to Valgarde in Howling Fjord. There is the same type or similar type of housing on the side of the cliff.
edit : The first picture at the top of the post, i had not clicked the link to enter the post at the moment i look at it and posted this, now with the remaining of the pictures i can see it will be different but was still funny at first.
If someone is talking in general chat in a language you dont understand, chances are they're not talking to you. So chill out and stop bitching about it!
I've had no interest in this game for a while, but I'm looking forward to trying the beta. I want to see how the graphics look on max settings, because I know there's no way screenshots represent this type of style well compared to the real thing.
I'm interested to see if they can give us a sense of atmosphere without making the whole game seem too cutesy. I can understand their choice of art direction, but if they can pull off making it feel like a more adult cartoonish world, then I may be able to get into it. After all, I love old movies like Heavy Metal and Heavy Metal 2000 (I know it won't be that hardcore), as well as some other animated content. Spirited Away comes to mind.
If the whole game feels like Saturday morning cartoons, it will be DOA for me.
A sure sign that you are in an old, dying paradigm/mindset, is when you are scared of new ideas and new technology. Don't feel bad. The world is moving on without you, and you are welcome to yell "Get Off My Lawn!" all you want while it happens. You cannot, however, stop an idea whose time has come.
so i recently went to their website(yesterday) to look into the regions menu and the only have 4 zones for each faction!!! out of 10 or so they havent even covered the pvp open zones like 15 of them is it that the site isnt updated?
or none of those zone have been built yet?- for a Q2 release date?
They are there.... i can't say more then they are there and are being tested. In fact everything is being tested as stated in article. Lvl 50 and elder game content are being tested....EVERYTHING.....
