looking at next.. The reason why I ask this is that you seem to be the most expierenced, skilled and hard core player base that I have run into since I have played MMORPG's.. I dont know I just like running with players like you all because you just seem to perform better and make my playing time more entertaining. Whether it be fighting agianst you or with you, PVP and/or PVE.
So please do tell, what games do those of you that have held a sub to the games mentioned above for more then 1 year look forward to next?

Played all the above. Have to say the game I am watching most avidly right now is Warhammer Online, which Mythic Entertainment is developing to be released sometime in 2007. Really hoping to get into it's beta. I love Mythic... they have a proven dedication to QUALITY that is unrivaled by any except possibly CCP.
Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.

I've also played all the mmorpgs listed above for a long time each, and enjoyed them all.
However, I am looking to get into a mmorpg that is different from them all. The one I think will offer what I am looking for in a mmorpg is Hero's Journey. It seems to be the mmorpg that is really focusing more on the roleplayer. There will be lots of customizability. From what I am reading, it will really foster a great gameworld for roleplaying. I am not a fan of instancing, but if HJ is immersive and offers a good roleplaying environment, I will be there. I've been posting on their Heros Council forums and getting lots of good info from the community there. The community is offering lots of great input to the devs, who are listening. I'm going to try this one out for sure.
Fallen Earth is the other mmorpg I have been waiting for. It has been a while since I first heard about this one, and I have been following it, but there has been very little info release as Icarus is concentrating on developing the game, and not putting much effort into making their game public right now. I give them credit, but I hope soon more info and an official forum comes out! This will most likely be my Sci-fi alternative. I prefer fantasy-based mmorpgs.
Chronicles of Spellborn is another mmorpg I have recently looked into. It's too early to tell if this one will be for me. It's another I will try out.
In Feb. Dungeons and Dragons Online will be released, and I will be playing. It offers something different than the usual mmorpg - small party-based quests, mostly instanced, with no grinding and an experience that is pretty close to what'd you'd get playing the PnP game. The shift in focus from farming mobs for exp, to completing quests for exp, will be a nice change, and I hope it will bring with it a different group of players. It also makes grouping very important, and I am not a solo player at all, so DDO will be a good game for me, for a while, until one of the above comes out.
NIIIICE you realize you just blew the NDA out of the water? I don't recall them lifting it LOL
Anyhow I agree that DDO is very cool in what it does but I'm not sure it's worth a monthly fee specifically because it is so instanced. DDO just doesn't FEEL like an MMORPG to me. It feels like GuildWars but with a better gameplay to it and no PVP. And I can play Guildwars for free...
Hard to say... I'll probably give it another spin once it comes out on a free trial after release but from what I saw from beta I probably won't buy it.

DDO is like GW with a sub, doesn't appeal to me.
Warhammer Online i'm waiting for purely because Mythic will make PVP a main part of it and not do what turbine are doing to LOTRO :S
Also i collected Warhammer Fantasy models (about 10+ years ago, i'm 20 now)

Don't click here...no2
I am looking forward to Age of Conan, seems like a very promising combatsystem and PvP-system. Will be zones for PvP like in Dark Age of Camelot, but instead of faction vs faction it is guild vs guild, which I am really looking forward to. Building castles and defending them looks like fun aswell as mount combat. Looks like alot more strategy and skill invovled than DAoC. Also mature theme might keep some of the children away, will be a dark world instead of all those cartoonworlds.
Hello.
All that stuff is in the DDO website, pretty much part of their mission statement/ good speculation. I don't think he has to worry about breaking his NDA (if he's even a beta tester).
Cheers,
Gray Shadow
Nah, he didn't break NDA. All that info is available on the forum for anybody to read. So it's all good.
I'll be looking forward to:
- D&D Online (I played stress test and beta, and for me that was enough to buy it)
- Age of Conan (I used to read the old comic books, so this game really appeals to me and the graphics are dead on. Plus it'll be M for Mature...as it SHOULD be.)

Played: Age of Conan, DDO, Saga of Ryzom, SWG, DaOC, MxO, EQ2, and so on...
Wish List: Jumpgate Evolution, Star Wars: TOR, Star Trek

True enough And not like nobody else has talked about stuff covered by the NDA DDO irked a lot of people enough that they've broken the NDA to give this info... I was kind of joking anyway

Played a ton of DaoC and AO.
I am looking forward to Age of Conan mostly because it is being made by Funcom.
WOW this is actually good news to me since
Warhammer and AoC are two of three of my most anticipated MMORPG's comming out.
The third being Huxley, Im a sucker for FPS games :P
I just Hope AoC can bring back some of the magic that I felt for Anarchy Online (pre Shadowlands).

the thing with being an experienced mmorpg player is you get bored and fed up of the same mechanics over and over. So what I'm looking for is something different now, something like D&D Online or Darkfall. However, Vanguard is also one with promise, though it is looking at this stage quite a hardcore game.
