Yes, Zenimax and Bethesda have enough funds to make motion capturing happen. Why it did not happen yet? I want to know aswell. ESPECIALLY for this payment model!!!

This is actually new, I believe. I noticed this in the video as well. There was a lot of feedback on how melee didn't feel like it had enough impact and Brian Wheeler mentioned they were working on addressing this in our latest interview on PvP. It looks like some of that must've made it into whatever build was used for this video. Those subtle 'pauses' are used in almost every action game to add impact to melee combat (see: Zelda, TERA, etc).
They are simple missing frames from a whole series of smaller animations that in total give for example a complete swing from head to toe. It is cheaply made so far. You have to see this.
INSTEAD there is something called adventure Zones which is NOT raiding.
Actually, this isn't entirely accurate. It has been stated that within the Adventure Zones there will be phased instances for large group PvE...al la raids...

There's a difference between not liking a game/aspects of it and hating on a game.
One is sometimes constructive, the other is trolling.
You've seen it and know the difference, so I'm not sure why I even bothered.

What you think is trolling doesn't mean it is trolling. I could show you many constructive negative comment that people call trolling when they are not. I've been in beta since August and IMO Eso has the worst animation in a mmo I've seen for ages. The combat IMO is slow and unresponsive, the world looks good but is made up of instances clusters and even the questing system is the same old with a twist. I love the lore and some of the game is very appealing. Now am I hating?
Are they serious about crafters making the best stuff in game because most games say that then stuff from dungeons become better and crafters become irrelevant except for levelling . I am a huge crafter. I had every crafter in Vanguard and I had to quit cos I hurt my wrist from crafting same with Everquest 2 on Freeport and Qeynos side I had a set of crafters. If they maintain this promise I am all in.

I'm very much like you in that respect of being a big crafter. Crafting and farming for mats are one of my biggest joys in an MMO, simply 'cause, and NOT only, it's a GREAT downtime to enjoy the game in a more relaxed setting, as supposed to the grind of the battles faced out in the open world. And, from what I understand so far of the crafting, that the "item sets" crafted, at higher skill levels, are pretty much one of the best in game, for your class. Even at lower levels, the high qulaity crafted itmes with proper enhancements are pretty much best in slots, for the most part.
Although, by the same token, the time it takes to obtain the "Research" of many items for a decent full set, is RIDICULOUSLY long. THUS, this is one of my BIGGEST gripes about the crafting system, and my decision to purchase the game or not. I just CAN'T see myself waiting over 365+ days to obtain a full crafted set/w/weapons and accessories, in the way I want it, to enjoy my "end-game" gameplay. And I state this cause it was mentioned somewhere in a discussion I came across, and I noticed it to be somewhat true, by noticing the time shown in the panel, in this video, and others I've seen. Research time for completion is commulative, in the times you can "research" and item pc., and since there are many pieces to a set with the inclusion of other gear and weapon items, it makes it discerning for me to comprehend the time it will take to make a "worthwhile" set. Being that you can only Research, ONE item slot at a time, and it doubling the time it takes the next item, will be the death of me., to see it in its full glory.
I may be WRONG, on the time it takes, but from what I saw, it STILL is a long time to wait for a research to be obtained for each pc of gear on a slot.
I saw that 45% chance thing and am wondering if this is like Aion where the failure rate was so high it made making the high level stuff truly insanely expensive and costly when you fail. If they do that in this game I am out. So this research thing is very time consuming huh ? I will wait to see how bad it is before I buy the game.

Skill points can open up more concurrent research slots also he didn't actually assign any skill points to research (metallurgy) so his time is full time for over the halfway mark on learning traits for chest pieces.... So technically you could knock out the last half of the traits on chest pieces in 6 days running them at the same time (research continues even if you aren't online from what I have seen in beta)

I think you are off on the whole process.
The researched aspects of enhancement take very little time. Finding the base items to research will be the time sink. Once you have them it's hours to do the research. Most of the upgrade aspects of the crafting are broken down in to other area's. Base to legendary is decided by how many tempers you can invest. Level is based on how many of a resource you use. There is a glyph aspect but I think those are made by another craft and added in to the crafting process.
Really from what I saw the researched aspect is more of a title that provides a benefit and it is across the board. Once you have sturdy for example it's in your journal for good. Use it on all armor, at least of that slot and type. So if I find a sturdy heavy chest at level 3 and research it, I can make a sturdy heavy chest at level 50 using that research.

Perhaps I was alittle off, in my wording, of what i was trying to convey, so my apologies for that to the confusion. But, my understanding of the process was just. I DO understand the process of crafting, it was my grudge with understanding the time it took for initial reasearches to be had for EACH item slot, and the amount it took to complete ALL of the items slots, to be researched, down the road, as I level up.
Adding a Researched enhancement to an item takes no time to add to a newley appointed item to be crafted. That I understood. And YES, finding items, with the base research needed, falls on your luck of getting it to drop for you. My gripe was with how long it would take to actually research any enhancement for EACH slot, given the allowance of how many you can research at a time. And since I got reminded by Pyatra's reply, that the skill points will allow for shorter research times and crafting abilities, which will be a HUGE help in reducing the time it takes to Research an item enchant.

And I haven't played Beta so in truth I don't know my ass from a hole in the ground. All I can go by is what I see in youtube stuff and the research time was a few hours each time. 720 hours in a month give or take. I can only hope there are enough things to research in the game to eat a year in research time.
I appreciate what you mean by dragging it out but at the same time, I'd sort of like to see that much detail. 360x12 That's a lot of gear options.
Making 40 things take forever? That's throttling and I'm with you.
At least the world looks beautiful. It's refreshing to see a mature setting instead of all the cartoon looking mmos.
Have to agree with that. Wasn't impressed with the fantasy punk cartoons when I saw them on the cover of White Dwarf Magazine, was less impressed when they invaded MMOs in WoW, and was truly tired of the tedious repetition when they became the de facto art style for so many games afterwards.
Unfortunately, the rest of TESO is far less impressive.
I agree. EQNL should really be up my street, but I can't get passed the awful jokey, childish art style. It's become a blight on fantasy games. But whilst I like the look of ESO it doesn't seem to have what I'm looking for. Not enough sandbox, no global economy and it has sub plus ingame shop. Maybe I'll have to compromise somewhere. As it is I don't intend to buy on release.
I'm tired of seeing this. There is -NO- in game shop. Please stop spreading misinformation. This was clarified shortly after the initial miscommunication that hinted at a cash shop. The only thing sold in microtransactions will be account services--specifically, Name Changes.

No, as explained in the other article, the pause when hitting something is to add a sense of impact when an attack hits. It's a common feedback technique used in game animations to make them feel more real. Zeni is clearly experimenting with this (because it wasn't in the stress test beta,) after all the complaints about combat lacking a visceral feeling.
Funny how 6 months of people naysaying has actually gone very silent.
I knew once I head know-it-all review captains saying things like "biggest fail in mmo history" that the game had something worth seeing (since self proclaimed prophets are by definition full of $$it).
I am also glad that now NDA is lifted we can see more of what we have been dying to see; the game that we are hoping to have been waiting for:)
We are the Founding Fathers in this virtual world in which we create. As such it seems we must do what our Founding Fathers had to do.. in order to let our fellow gamers have a fair shake.

I appreciate what you mean by dragging it out but at the same time, I'd sort of like to see that much detail. 360x12 That's a lot of gear options.
Making 40 things take forever? That's throttling and I'm with you.
I have never been a big crafter but that looks like it is going to be my end game once i have explored all three areas.
Looks awesome
I'm tired of seeing this. There is -NO- in game shop. Please stop spreading misinformation. This was clarified shortly after the initial miscommunication that hinted at a cash shop. The only thing sold in microtransactions will be account services--specifically, Name Changes.
No, as explained in the other article, the pause when hitting something is to add a sense of impact when an attack hits. It's a common feedback technique used in game animations to make them feel more real. Zeni is clearly experimenting with this (because it wasn't in the stress test beta,) after all the complaints about combat lacking a visceral feeling.
It seems to have the intended effect to me.
