With a scant 48 hours until the Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen KickStarter campaign ends, the team is still pumping out lore behind the game. This time, The Planes of Arcana is profiled, the elements that hold the entire universe together.
The fundamental elements that hold the fabric of existence together within the Pantheon universe are known as the Planes of Arcana. These intangible and abstract planes of magic were formed from the resonating forces that destroyed all life prior to the Planar Collisions. Each one of these planes is comprised of a specific arcane force that serves an important function in the universe. Unseen and infinite, these are not realms that can be visited, but their powers can be channeled through an array of complex and dangerous magical disciplines. Once tapped, they can be used like an artist’s palette to create masterful spells or imbue magical abilities.

I agree with that. The kickstarter might have worked without him plastering his name all over it. As it is, it is not going to fly.
Speak for yourself and your circle please.
I want this game to succeed but I don't feel they did very well marketing their KS campaign. The original KS videos were pretty bland and even used some graphics that they later said were just for filling the video with some footage but probably won't look anything like that when the game is actually released. On top of that, the KS tiers seemed a bit confusing and there wasn't really a good "sweet spot" price point.
I feel like if Brad really wants to make this game succeed he and his team need to invest more of their own money to get it out there in front of the public better.
agree, i pretty much like all his design choices and the direction he wants the game to head in, he realises the game doesnt need millions of players to be worth making and thats half of what makes it good... that he's willing to create a game for those who want to go back to where it all began with a new spin.
not only that but vanguard was pretty much out of his hands, it was a mistake and people make mistakes, it is still an amazing mmo and it's a shame that it didnt get the time it needed to be moulded into what it should have been rather then what shipped at launch.
at the end of the day, it doesnt matter if kickstarter fails there is backups in place to see this game get funded, i only hope it doesnt comprimise the teams vision of what they want the game to be, as it stands he seems to have a very talented team behind him, whom are both passionate about what they do and by the looks of it, what they're making and i think it has the potential much like many other games to be amazing.
Pantheon is a shinning example of how to not do a Kickstarter campaign. Their progress so far on the game is inadequate. The design is not innovative as there's currently plenty of PvE group games from which to choose. Also their website looks horrid! I could put together a better website using Enjin software ffs.
What a shame.
Primal Arcana
Within every natural element of the universe can be found a spark of the primal arcana. These are the elemental forces both summoned and harnessed by mages.
Excellent, sounds like some kind of EQ1 style mages are planned! I luved them!
Enlighten me on these group focused fantasy PVE games please. I'd love to hear your list.
And guys they are still making the games they are just going to go through traditional publishers/investors now
Any mmo worth its salt should be like a good prostitute when it comes to its game world- One hell of a faker, and a damn good shaker!
Game isn't being made for "today's gaming circles" that's the whole idea!
The mage sounds amazing, very exciting~!
