If you go to Tamriel Foundry under the guild section the Ebonheart Pact has the most guilds. Daggerfall is second and bringing up the rear is AD.
It will be interesting to see how it shakes out when the game launches.
Ebonheart Pact. I loved starting zone, hated Daggerfall starting zone. Haven't tried aldmeri yet, not sure if I will as I am satisfied with ebonheart. Maybe i next beta I will give it a couple of hours, dunno. Though I will play high elf, sorcecer, but thanks to preorder I can play in ebonheart.

Also as people experience beta's what they think & what they expect change as they play so alliances shift. The 30/30/30 could be from a mixed pre & post beta. Thats why I started the fresh poll here to gauge opinions after. Keep those votes coming
Aldmeri - that way it'll keep things fresh, since I'm playing Daggerfall in the beta.

Other than race restrictions, what are the differences in the alliances?

Played EH through beta so far, but I'm firmly in the undecided camp. Near the end of the month I'll set down with all the info and my experience and then come up with my AVATAR!!!!!!

Whatever side I feel has the least population at release.
So i am guessing that your not going to be playing the PvP side of it at all then.
I am pretty sure with the numbers playing & Cyrodiil's Player cap there wont be a problem but less players on one faction can mean less on the battlefield at specific times. Eg I am from New Zealand so my play/PvP time is usually classed in the "off peak" server gaming time.
Being in the strongest faction is important for people like me as if your on a low population side, chances are PvP will be a smashfiest for that side in the quieter server times.
Originally posted by MMO-Relic I think it will come down to racial passive min/max. It's hard to ignore Brenton's passive resists.
Soft caps render most racial passives irrelevant in the long run.

I am kinda surprised by the outcome of this poll. Other polls have shown, that the Ebonheart Pact got a huge led over the other alliances because of Skyrim's popularity or neat winter landscapes. But maybe those guys are just tired of voting on these polls...
As for me, I'll be rolling with Daggerfall, the look and feel just got me hooked and I hate (too) pointy ears.

I'm not quite an old fart yet, but this was part of the reason I want to go DC.

I play Bretons.
Daggerfall is the only choice for me.
Wow, neck & neck with DC & AD after 168 votes.
Nice to read the comments on why people play the side they do as well !

Everyone who buy a preorder gets a explorer pack, which allows you to take any alliance with every race.
After release only the imperial edition can do it, but as i know, you can upgrade a normal edition to a imperial.
My idiot friends are undecided, and thus, making me undecided. Hopefully they'll make a decision before release so we don't bicker
As far as race goes, more than likely Imperial since I pre-ordered the Imperial Edition.

The above is my personal opinion. Anyone displaying a view contrary to my opinion is obviously WRONG and should STHU. (neener neener)

Sheep or Shepard- Make up your own damn mind.
It is true, the older you get, the less patience you have for those who watch a Youtube video and from that believe they know it all.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.
