The Defiance team at Trion Worlds is on fire. The folks have been pushing out patches, fixes, and DLC at a much quicker pace since the team all consolidated to San Francisco when Scott Hartsman took over as CEO late last year. Hot on the heels of the 7th Legion DLC, new outfits and weapons, new factions, and incursions, Trion is prepping The Gunslinger Trials: it’s first major story-focused DLC. We caught up with Creative Lead Trick Dempsey to chat about the Trials and all the new stuff it’s bringing to Defiance when it launches in March. There will be some story spoilers ahead, so be warned!

gunz and boobs. what can go wrong?
All they ever needed to add was story-driven, faction based PvP with a good solid point to the system.
Everything about the game and the story of Defiance screams solid PvP IMO...yet they've continued to avoid it.
Several years ago when I was a range officer at an indoor shooting range, on many occasion I ended my safety orientation by telling certain female customers that their cleavage was a safety hazard. ;-)
I dunno, Rift was Trion's crowning jewel, and along came Defiance and it was just a smelly turd. I got this game because i loved the idea of the T.V. series and the tie in with the game, that idea was just poorly implemented, that fact that the show took place in a completely different geographical location was such a bad move.
Then the biggest and most glaring problem for me was the patcher, where it would drop you anywhere from 50%-90% and restart the entire download over and over took over 2 weeks to actually get the entire game digitally and cost me 42 gigs in overage charges cause my internet is metered. I knew what i was doing when i downloaded it but i never expected the patcher to be such a dismal failure as it was.
The gameplay for me was ok, but seriously it really did not have much meat to it. The fact that you leveled your weapons but they maxed out and became useless was just mind boggling.
Defiance could have been amazing, and maybe it will become that but until i see some huge changes i doubt i will ever bother with it again.
Lolipops !
You forgot to add "in my opinion".
It can be assumed because they typed it and there is no citation.

It's a shame we still have to go to third party sites to get this information instead of on their official blog and forums.
And what on earth does this mean?
"The team’s also adding a new weapon back for purchase in the store that has a chance to drop rare outfits from across the game."
I want to marry her.
+1
Because citing sources is as common here and knowing the difference between one's opinion and fact.
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

as the haters deminish, Defiance is Defiant to the last and refuses to die. this is good entertainment that is getting better albeit slowly.
