They are pushing people to this game by the tens of thousands every week, they might as well just start thinking about going open beta during the weekends, or invite more people to the closed beta if they need to test these servers this much.
Love to get into WildStar Beta.... but I won't do the "Weekend events".
Give me a key for the real Beta then I'll log in, otherwise I'll wait for Open Beta or when it is released. I'm sick and tired of contests, people streaming and just before they give a key away 1000's of people logging in swooping in for the "kill" and basically I'm tired of jumping through hoops to get a golden key.
I guess I will try it again. I like it, I think it will be good (Been in the last two weekend betas)
But there is something missing.... I haven't figured it out yet. It is in Beta so you know....
I didn't like it at all, I wont say much atm due to the NDA for testers still being in place but it's just not something I'm looking to sink my time and money into so far.
I personally will be enjoying my time in the ESO beta this weekend. Not a very smart move to announce this hours after ESO announced their MILLIONS of invites for this weekends beta event, but I guess they think they can get more people than ESO to test. IMO they should have waited til next weekend so that they can try to potentially get more testers to test their servers when they WONT be testing another game at the same time.
I don't think this is really a NDA breaker, but something felt really lacking. Even when I first made a character in WoW, I felt a bit of "epicness". The world felt massive and (even with the graphics) seemed to have a sense of history and depth. Last weekend felt a little like I was playing a polished version of a Mario game with quick jokes and snappy controls.

^No, no- this is a fallacy^. I'll correct it for you- "WoW's target audience already has a game- it's called WoW". This is for all the other people, like myself, who was never the slightest bit interested in WoW. I know it's hard for people to believe, but some people just have absolutely no interest in WoW. I installed and tried WoW multiple times, and I was always bored to tears with it. Wildstar is for a few people-
1. People who liked WoW, but may have moved on from it (there are a lot of folks like this)
2. People who like MMO's
3. People who like Space
4. People who like Space in their MMO's.
Note that WoW can only fulfill two of those slots. I don't care if Great Panda Adventure Land Time had enemies that charged at you before any other MMO did. I don't care that there is 10+ years of experience and lore in WoW. I don't care that if Jesus were alive today, he'd have a WoW sub with a high-lvl Paladin Character named "Boss Cross". What I care about is a game that is, to me, fun- it's kinda the reason I pay for and play video games. WoW was never that to me. And after the weekend Betas, I can say, Wildstar is the MMO I have been looking for for a very long time. Player housing, crafting, Dodgey Combat- all the things I've loved from other MMO's handed to me in one package.
To the average WoW fan, it's nothing. To everyone else who didn't/doesn't like WoW, Wildstar is pretty exciting.
"Why play Wildstar when WoW has been around for 10 years?" Because, and it might be hard for you to believe, but WoW just really isn't a game for everyone- in terms of lore, setting, community, etc etc.
P.S.- If you have no interest in Wildstar, for whatever reason, don't sign up for the giveaway. Simple as that. I'm sure the plethora of people that haven't been able to get in yet would really appreciate it.
To The OP: Thanks for letting me know! Will be getting up early to apply! Got it last time, hope my luck keeps up! After playing this weekend, I really haven't been interested in any other games....

Based on the stuff I was seeing in the chat during the Beta last weekend, people in Wildstar really like Wildstar. I'm sure if they wanted an ESO beta, they would have applied.... but they seemed to have really wanted the Wildstar one. I don't think they should wait 'til next week to do another Beta.... there's just no need for it. Unless you have an ESO key and a Wildtsar key... then you need to decide where you will spend your time!
Me, personally, Wildstar all the way. Really not interested in ESO... like, at all... BRING ON THE WILDSTAR BETA WEEKEND!
I'll elaborate more on the things that make WildStar bad IMHO once the NDA is lifted but for now lets just say I share the same opinion as many others who tried it as far as the linear theme park style they went with which can even be seen in the videos they've already posted. MANY other things just reaaaally didn't do it for me but we'll save that for a later discussion. I know that some people will love WS and some will love ESO. It's all a matter of preference because the two MMO's are NOTHING alike.
I will just say this much, for the MOST part (not saying that this is going to be the way it is for everyone), but for the most part those who like WoW and TERA for instance will probably love WildStar. Those who fell in love with MMO's such as EQ, SWG, GW2, RIFT, etc. will probably love ESO due to the fact that ESO has a very above average elaborate crafting system, the freedom of choice with weapon leveling and swapping along side leveling your class skills, racials, game guild skills and so forth.
As I said I know this wont be the norm for everyone but IMHO for the most part that is going to be the general consensus, and no I did not break any NDA rules here because the only game I spoke any detail on was ESO who has already lifted their beta NDA. To each his own, but last weekend I almost had to force myself to log into WildStar just to try and test the game out because it was about as entertaining as watching paint dry.
I may try out to get in to this beta, im kinda looking forward to Wildstar. Problem being i work third shift and I dont know if i will be awake to sign up for it at that time will be snoozing most likely, makes me sad.
I guess I will try it again. I like it, I think it will be good (Been in the last two weekend betas)

Tried the game. Couldn't stand it. One more beta key for you all.
I just don't see what all the fuss is about for this game.
Ah, right. They do that and have since December. They add more every Monday to the ongoing Closed Beta, in addition to the weekend events.
i would so love a key even if it's just for the weekend.
A friend told me about it and i have been watching the twitch streams ever since lol :P

I couldn't have said it better myself. I was VERY excited before the last weekend beta.... But since then? Just seems all too familiar. (NDA?)
I second that... and third... and fourth... and.... you get the picture.....
