I was 11, my pops took me and my brother to see Star Wars.
I can't say it changed my life, but it sure made me happy as a kid and I have fond memories of it.
SWG did the same for me in my adult life. Lot's of good memories...
Thank your lucky stars Vets... it brought joy to our lives for a brief moment in time. Remember the good stuff, not the bad....At least we got that... Memories.... most people dont have what we have.
Now for the 3D part!!!!
Stare at this for 1/2 hour> .

I was 10, Dad took me and my 7yr old brother to the opening night of Star Wars... we went on to watch it about 10 times in theatres that year And another 20 or so on VHS and Beta when it came out
And I agree... Original SWG is going to remain a fond memory... not as fond as original UO but definitely a fond memory.
Currently Playing: Dungeons and Dragons Online.

Still in: A couple Betas
Sadly I wasn't born yet to experience the Star Wars Crave till Episode 1 Came out... I was born in 1989 sadly.. I would've loved to be alive back then but o well!
Probably saying the few words that I knew and pointing at the screen a fair bit.
I was 2 years old and Star Wars: A New Hope, was the very first film my parents took me to see
I was 5 but didn't see any of the originals in theatre as my parents had some warped religious perception that ALL Sci-fi and ANYTHING with War in the title were the work of the devil. Fortunately they've matured a lot since then, my dad actually bought me the Collectors DVD of the Dune mini-series for xmas. I still grew up playing with Star Wars action figures at friends houses and they filled me in on the basic story lines. Finally saw the originals on VHS when the wife and I got our first apartment in '96. Kinda weird seeing Leia kiss Luke in Empire having already been filled in as a kid that they were siblings but not having been told they kissed Saw episodes 1 and 2 in theatre when they came out but episode 3 was too close to the arrival of my youngest daughter so I haven't seen it yet.
P.S. I stared for a 1/2 hour and nothing happened
I first saw Star Wars on my 10th Birthday. When the Odeon was a 2 and not the 7 it is now. Since then I must have seen it a good 20 time in the theatre. The line ups were long, but worth the time to stand and wait.
I was in Johns Hopkins Phipps clinic in Baltimore Maryland wondering if I would break out of my long standing depression before another round of ECT would be prescribed when the commercial flash on the screen for Star Wars, needless to say it broke me from my depression as much as SOE has ignited my mania.
Love that Jestor and for a Second year SOE does not!
Unaware of the Jestor?

Hmmm, I was 14 at that time and strangely I can't remember a damn thing from those days. But I did get to see Star Wars with the folks. Well I do remember one thing and that was the special effects were outstanding for that day and age. Now when I watch it compared to the latest offerings or the LoTR trilogy it shows it's age. Still one of my favorite movies though.
Oddly enough I never heard of it (even though I was 5 when it first came out). I first saw it on a beta (remember those??) back in 1981.
I sat there in the living room floor of my mom's best friends house in Deal's Island, Maryland (a little fishing island near Salisbury, MD)
It was the first time in my life that I truly felt a type of "magic" while watching a movie. It so profoundly touched my life that whenever I would drive into Deal's Island to get a bushel of crabs, I would always think about Star Wars.
I got my son into it as soon as he was born a few years ago. We took him to see episode 3 when it came out in the theatre. When Palpatine pushed Mace out the window the theatre was quite and then my son got up and said "YEAHHH!!!! Daddy, I was wanting Darth Vador to kill Mace"
The whole theatre erupted in laughter. To this day, my son puts on his darth vader helmet/regulator and lightsaber and periodically beats the crap out of me.
My one year old daughter loves my son's Darth Vader bank (the one with a nice Vader Sculpture that lights up and talks when you put money it). She loves it so much she dances to it.
My father-in-law would hum the Imperial March and wherever we're at, she'll dance to it.
Both of my children are in love with the most hanest villian in the history of cinema
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
Everyone loves Darth vader
Personally episode 2 and 3 put me off him : Mainly because that guy cudn't act also because these new movies seem to have 1 word convos going on also he seemed to care about things too much.]
I always saw Obi wan as just gay Jedi until i saw Episode 3 tho.
