Is this for me?

Played for a good few years, until the desert expansion, then life got in the way.

Now, with more time available, and after trying many other MMOs (most disappointing), I would like to try this again, but have some questions:

- I love healing, but I need to solo as well. I remember having a lvl 60-70 ratonga defiler, which was awesome at melee heals. But now I'd like a scout with some self heal and group buffs. Suggestions?

- Population still ok? I hate waiting for instance groups, one of the main reasons why I always pick healers, to skip those queues as much as possible.

- Will not jump to lvl 85, I want to have the full experience from lvl 1. Any real limitation for a F2p in terms of questing, crafting, grouping, etc?

- I saw that nagafen is the only server I could choose. Is it cos I'm a freeb or the game is dead enough that they merged all servers?

- Should I avoid EQ2 altogether and wait for Next?

- Just want PvE and crafting, couldn't care less about PvP or housing. Still a good choice?

Thanks!

None of the scouts have any real self heals minus the beastlord and they are in a bit of an odd place at the moment. Dirge and Troubadour are the scout buffers but neither of them have any significant self heals. If you want a solo healer then Inquisitor, Warden or Mystic are your best bets. I couldn't be more specific then that as I have only really played Inquisitor and Warden recently (Although I have all at 95)

Population is fine and I never have any problems getting into groups however if you want to quick groups then a healer, bard or enchanter is the way to go but aside from less desirable classes, you'll have no problems.

None other then your xp bar being stuck at 50/50 (afaik, it was but they could have changed it, i've always subscribed) as far as i'm aware there are no limits on questing, crafting and grouping minus any content that is gated behind a current expansion (as of this post, anything after DoV is gated)

No idea on this one, there are still like a dozen servers.

Not if you want to play it. It's a fine game and while it does have its problem (Hey, what game doesnt?) it's still an overall solid game if the style suites you.

Yup, Crafting has little impact on the game and housing and PvP have no impact, although you will need to at least by a house to get 6 bags on the broker but that is the limit of it's involvement.,

    Thanks!

    No problem!
