Am i the only one enjoying the combat in this game? Combat feels so much better in this BETA than it did in the previous BETA.

As far as I know, the combat in this beta is the exact same as last beta. No changes have been made for this one. It's just for server stress testing.

Incorrect, FFXIV has the worst combat.
Uh.... its basic tab targeting with actually really well done animations.
Unlike ESO which is basically tab targeting with terrible animations.
I'm having fun with it thus far.
Worst MMO combat is a tough one, but I'd either go with SWTOR at launch or current WildStar.
It's all subjective.

Combat is more than the animations. FFXIV basically copied WoW's combat then dumbed it down by decreasing the number of skills, then they doubled down on that by increasing the global cooldown for 1-1.5 seconds to 2.5 seconds. So in many cases you have classes that are by and large simpler than WoW but the system takes twice as long to accept new inputs. I believe it's clearly the worst combat mechanics of any AAA mmo ever released, there may be some low end Asian f2p game that's worse but that's about it.
While the animations on some weapons (glares at the bow) are weak and or lackluster, I've not once used tab in the entirety of the beta I've played through 5 characters and over 30 levels.
At least not for targeting. I might have used tab in some other function, but in combat I simply faced what I was attacking and either used my basic or charged attacks and other abilities.
I find the combat to be enjoyable with the abilities I have experienced, again I'm a bow user and I find the bow a tad lackluster compared to other weapons.
Am I missing some awesome thing by not using tab? I've never had trouble keeping track of which target I should be killing with or without tabbing.
Its the same build and i don(t see any patch notes where they mentioned improvements in combat. Still feels the same to me.

I really like ESO and love the combat, but am I the only one that feels the game is not ready for release.
I hope I am wrong and they have things fixed, but I just don't see it happening by 4/4
So because you don't like the increased GCD you say the combat is terrible?

Actually I thought it was good. Needed some fine tuning, but from patch notes I've seen it just hasn't made it's way to the fancy beta weekends we get to have. Closed testers only.
