Nightblade weaponset

NacarioNacario Member UncommonPosts: 222

I tried the beta for the first time this previous weekend and I was looking for weapon sets that synergized well together for pvp purpose; something between ranged and melee. Any other nightblades in here that have thoughts/experience?

I was looking at bow and duel wield dagger, while I also see two handed being a popular choice with the knockback when they get to close. Anyone tried daggers/bow?

there is not much synergy between weaponsets, allmost all passives only work for the skills in the tree..

So far i found dualwield  and bows as it allows you to switch between ranged and melee a good combination..  you could also replace the Bow with a staff, but sadly the staff has no stamina abbilities..

I will be doing dagger/bow.  You can't weapon swap until level 15, so this weekend I was working purely on the bow.  To compliment the ranged aspect of the bow, I focused on ranged skills in the Siphon tree, as well as putting points into bow itself.

ESOHead has a great skill calculator that you can play with.  Check that out if you want to see how you may want to build your NB.

It was OK, much better if you open from Stealth, great burst damage that way.

handy tip: you can spend first skill point on an ability for your second weaponset and slot it in 5. It'll be unusable while first weaponset is equipped but will level up that line from questing/exploring.

Bow actually gets decent snares and knockbacks, so technically you don't really need a different weapon set for melee range, you could just have two bow toolbars.  Haven't decided yet whether I will go with bow/dual wield, or do single target bow and AOE bow.

EDIT: No melee really works best if you focus on Siphon in the class skill lines though, the other two are clearly designed with melee in mind.

well the way im thinking is that itll b good to have both melee and ranged combat as options to spice it up.. i dont even know if any of them are favored vs certain x enemyclassmechanic.
