Cryptic Studios has announced the next module for Neverwinter. Called Curse of Icewind Dale. According to the first information released on the Perfect World Arc page, Curse of Icewind Dale will see significant changes to the PvP system. The post includes an introductory video that shows off some of the location for CoID.
The expansion will include:
PvP Leaderboards & Matchmaking
The matchmaking system has undergone extensive revisions, and will now feature leaderboards so that you can climb the ranks to the most elite combatants in Neverwinter.
PvP Campaign
For the first time ever, Neverwinter will feature a PvP Campaign, which will have daily quests focused on slaying other players, or navigating through dangerous PvP areas for resources.
PvE Campaign
Explore the region with the Icewind Dale campaign by completing new repeatable quests, earning boons, and receiving gifts from the grateful people of Caer-Konig.

Need:
Warlock.
Paladin or Melee Cleric.
Now this may rattle a few cages, but I prefer Neverwinter's UI over ESO. It's the same 'choose your skills and put them in the limited bar' set up, but to me it does a better job.
NW's combat mechanics aren't bad, and comparing with ESO - well I'd go for NW, but not surprised if others went for ESO.
Note - this is not about ftp v ptp, there's enough flamewar posts around on that subject.
It's purely a comment on the comparative interfaces and combat mechanics of NW and ESO.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.
Honestly, given how little depth each class has, I'm surprised they couldn't release 20 at launch.
It's like each class is *1* of WoW's skill trees for 1 class, complete with a max of 6 abilities usable at one time. It's pathetic.
Still no Scourge Warlock or Beast master class = me still waiting.
They had to few classes and balancing issues between them.
Smh.. u can get everything by playing that you need to compete. It just might take you longer to do it is all. You can be competitive still in pvp. .. not saying the best of the best but you can still be competitive in pvp without spending a dollar. I know cause I do it.
From what I've read and heard the ice will be in open pvp area.. so ya you probably are going to be fighting for it.
Pretty much a Great Weapon Fighter, which they already have.
I log in occasionally and always have good time. But somehow, I just can't get pulled in to log in on regular daily/weekly basis. Is it because of heavily instanced world or lack of in-depth and meaningful talent customization, I don't know.
But, I'm pretty sure that this game would be (or actually will be, since the release was already hinted) very popular on new consoles.
I'd say it was similar to many other games in this respect. You have the choice of skills (powers), feats, stat point allocation, one of two paths, and end game bonuses running through the Sharandar, Dread Ring campaigns.
Now in theory this could give you a myriad of different options - but guess what happens - the same as in every other game.
People look for the best build guide and go with that. When has it been ever thus?
