That looks a whole lot like second life actually.  I remember SL when it first started and people got free credits etc daily with the amount varying by how social you were.  Then eventually it became more of a money grab.

It's a fun, exciting game.  When you walk into the world, there is a Welcome Walkway.  It gives you introduction on how to use the client.  While, doing so, you are able to receive ThereBucks (virtual currency) to use to purchase items in-world.  There.com also has ThereIM, an instant messaging service that you can download on your computer to chat with other people.    There are fun exciting activities to do in-world.

Recently, we had There Games.  There Games occur twice a year.  We have Winter and Summer Games.  The way the teams are based comes from your nametag color.  If your nametag color is yellow, than you will be part of the yellow team.  You can change your nametag color to a different color if you would before the games occur, which will cost you additional ThereBucks to purchase them.    Also, we currently have BINGO, Thereywood Squares (just like the real game Hollywood Squares), Racing, Cards, etc...  I do recommend to check it out.  You may enjoy it.  After all, its FREE!  :)

There.com is nothing like Second Life.  Second Life Gaming Platform is way different from There's.  There.com is a seem-lees world.  Meaning, you can travel to one island to another, without having to teleport.  Unlike Second Life, you have to have teleport from one sim to another.   There.com is a user-friendly virtual world.  It's very easy to get started and to use the client.  Do sign up and try it for yourself.  :)  You will enjoy it.
