3) Disable global chat when you first start playing.
I disagree with point 2. If you don't try it in beta how do you know you will like it. You could just waste $50 only to realise you don't like the game. I'm a firm believer in try before you buy.
Reading from posts and chat let me know if a quest is bugged.

Unless one's experience in the Beta is negatively influenced by the glut of short term players, and you can even tell from a beta if you will like it.
And, most mmorpgs I have tried seem fine at first.
Thankfully. Skyrim is a decent game, but it's a terrible RPG. ESO is much better in that regard.

i don't agree that it is a terrible RPG. there are aspects of skyrim i don't particularly care for like the combat but it's actually a petty good single player RPG IMO
lots of interesting story lines in that game. maybe they could be better? sure, but i wouldn't say it's terrible by any means.

I actually lied, I stopped buying pop since I got my latest favorite gadget toy last Christmas, Sodastream. I just make my own with whatever I have around...sometimes even cola that tastes better than Cole Zero

Certainly. But does that outweigh the negative?
The negatives in chat are just opinions. Betas are just a taste of the game. Even when the game officially launches, it's still a state of beta and can take up to a year to find its-self.

Understand that nothing in life is perfect and high expectations can lead to great disappointment. Knowing these will greatly improve the way you deal with the results of actually playing.

For me this applies to more than just ESO
I agree and I've actually had to alter my definition of perfection in order to enjoy it.

I would argue that the mere fact of a story being present doesn't make a game an RPG these days. Most games have stories now. The thing that differentiates an RPG story from a non-RPG story is the presence of narrative choice, which is damn near non-existent in Skyrim. There are a couple, but considering the total amount of content, a couple is pretty pitiful. ESO on the other hand has quite a few narrative choices, at least in the zones available in the weekend betas.
And in regard to RPG mechanics, Bethesda has been reducing the amount and complexity of their mechanics for years, at this point (from a mechanical standpoint) their games are just barely more than shooters. I get way more of an RPG feeling, on every level, from ESO than Bethesda has managed to deliver since Morrowind. And even Morrowind didn't deliver as well as Daggerfall in that regard.
And I'm not saying any of them are bad games, I'm just saying it seems like a stretch to me to call Skyrim or Oblivion good RPGs.

Beta is not a test drive... It is made to help the developers find bugs faster and improve the game.
I prefer Skyrim. This game is on rail and the exploration is Skyrim is much better.
ESO is a mediocre MMO - nothing new except using the ES Universe.
Remember, you will end up playing with console players since it is coming out for them also.
Console players get their own megaserver, so no, I won't.
There are three levels we can judge an MMORPG on; as a PvE MMO, as a PvP MMO, and as a RPG. As a RPG, I honestly think ESO gets more right than any previous MMORPG has managed to. As a PvE MMO, it may be fair to call it mediocre. I don't actually spend enough time on group PvE content to form an educated opinion. As far as PvP goes, I think it is very well implemented, but how "good" it is will depend on whether the person doing the judging prefers PvP that simulates warfare, or e-sport team PvP in tiny instances.

1) I do agree that many posts do not contribute to my in game enjoyment factor, however, I have found treasure in the piles and piles of...well...erm..(holds her nose).
2) I recognize the beta phase of games is not for everyone. I am thankful to be able to contribute to the final product and understand what it means to be a beta tester.
3) I agree that there are people who attempt to ruin the experience of others, and have many friends that sadly disable global chat in any mmorpg that they play because of them. I am proud to say I am not one of the people set on making people feel uncomfortable and use global chat to answer game related questions.
The way I enjoy ESO best is by playing with and making new friends, all while uncovering lore and participating in epic battles, large and small!
Thankfully. Skyrim is a decent game, but it's a terrible RPG. ESO is much better in that regard.

If by 'rails' you mean, 'if you only stick to areas where you won't be horrendously murdered, then you are going zone by zone' then yes it is on rails. Otherwise I'm having a hard time finding these rails anywhere else.
Since when does "new" indicate quality? You qualify mediocre with "nothing new," but as we should all know, 'a new thing' isn't indicative of whether it is 'good' or not.
And third, dead wrong. Each platform has it's own megaserver.
Speaking of, is there a reason why you seem to enjoy popping into every thread on ESO saying you won't play it, either have wrong or suspect information, asserting your opinion as fact, and generally being miserable? Inquiring minds want to know.

the more popular a game is he more people that complain and troll, it just means ESO is on the map in a big way lol
That's good, Definately

I never had 420. How many can you drink in one sitting without heart failure?

It's only on rails if you play it on rails. The rails are merely an option. There is plenty to explore. Have you tried treasure maps yet?
