Dark Souls II: Mark the Day - PC Release on March 25th

Dark Souls II will officially hit retail release for PC and Steam on March 25th, according to a new press release from Namco Bandai. To celebrate the announcement, the team has released a brand new video. Check it out and let us know what you think.

Adventurers will be delighted to discover that the PC & STEAM version will fully benefit from PC capabilities: increased texture resolution and an enhanced frame rate option. On top of that, FromSoftware have been working to perfectly adapt the game for a mouse & keyboard combo.

As for console, and while supplies last, fans pre-ordering the game will receive the Black Armour Edition – containing an Exclusive Metal Case, the Original Game Soundtrack and an early access to the Black Armour Weapon Set – or if pre-ordered on STEAM® fans will get bonuses -  digital soundtrack and the early access to the Black Armour Weapon Set, the Official Dark Souls II Artbook in PDF format and The complete Dark Souls II Digital Comic Book (written by Rob Williams and Andi Ewington with art provided by Simon Coleby) as digital extras for a complete immersion in the universe of DARK SOULS II.

    Along side Blizzard with reaper of souls? Not sure if that'll be good or bad for them. Say what you want about D3 but the hype for RoS is pretty big at the moment.

    I mean I love Dark Souls.. but I know I'll be busy with D3 so I won't be buying this yet... unless RoS has similar D3 launch issues. After that I'll be all over ESO.

    For the best a suppose cos the PC port of DS1 wasn't great.. let them iron out any problems first (if there are any).

    does not really matter. most of the people who will bought it will be on console. well the majority.

    The exp for d3 on console will be port later.

    Honestly RoS is nothing compared to Dark Souls 2.

    My only concern is how will the online connection be handled ? Last time they used GFWL.

    Yeah can we get confirmation on that date, Video says March 14th for Console and April 25th for PC :/

    I assume it's to not piss off their core playerbase. 

    Also, good to know their improving the framerate for the PC version.

    I know I'm buying it for PC. And buying the D3 expansion. Looks like the 25th is going to be a big gaming day for me!

    The game doesnt really need to be easier, id say from playing dark souls it needs to be harder.  Basically if you play the game with the mindset of survival vs victory you will do well....rush in thinking you and your big sword can kill everything basically sets you up for death...slowly make your way to your enemies planning your next 12 moves before you start, that set you up for success.

    Well lets hope they have managed to get a decent keyboard and mouse control set in this time.. you literally could not play the first one with keyboard and mouse and I hate playing games like this with a control pad..

    I was about to celebrate it releasing a month earlier than it said

    MMORPG has crushed my hopes and my dreams, Thanks. ;(
