I bought the pack for EverQuest landmark, got into alpha, built a castle that looks like a stone d***. Now what?
Sure, I don't mind support the franchise but I would have excepted more for 99.99
Anyone else feel this way?

You don't have to be rude.

I bought access to alpha too. I struggle with "amazing" constructions too. BUT i know it takes me a long time to do things like that so their we go. ITS ALPHA and you have payed to be a part of the game when its basically at its most basic and rubbish (kinda)
You basically have payed for something you know nothing about. So please stop whining. Its your own fault.
I bought alpha because i want to give the company feedback and try and help them in their decisions AND get a jump on people at the beginning.
Simple as that
A fool and their money are easily parted so the saying goes.
The game is in alpha (and for what it currently is, is great) but you obviously haven't got a clue what that means (Hence the fool part...and just in case that means you are the fool).
Advice. If you are going to spend money on something try informing yourself first. At least then you have a legitimate reason to feel aggrieved if it isn't what was promised.
The thing to ask the OP is this. What you expecting?? Landmark is Basically Minecraft 2.0 but a million times better IMO. Their isnt going to be any quests etc. What did you think you were spending 100 on?
Not sure what you were expecting. Remember it will be F2P on release. Early Alpha =/= Full Game.
If you like to build and the things that revolve around it, LM is pretty fun and is only getting better.
There is a Landmark specific forum btw.
I actually just read all of this.
Thanks for the responses guys. I don't really care that it cost 99.99 and I guess I wasn't really aware of what ALPHA actually meant.
I don't feel this way, the game so far is great.
But they offer a full refund to anyone who didn't know what they were buying into like you.
This is actually quite common, and not your fault at all. The whole industry seems to be blurring the lines and forgetting what "alpha" and even "beta" means. Too many MMOs these days try to sell the players the ability to test a broken game, that would have never happened a decade ago. The worst part is, players are paying, just to say they were the first ones there.
SOE tries to sell you on that "you can be a part of the dev team". But are you really? Developers get paid to make games, not pay hundreds of their own dollars to be a part of it. Its all smoke and mirrors and comes down to if you are willing to pay to be the first ones with your hands in the game, and just deal with the fact that its broken and unfinished.
PS. I have a trailblazer pack too, so Im not trying to be negative overall. I dont really approve of the way alphas and betas are handled these days, but its up to the players to decide what they are willing to pay for. SOE so far has delivered exactly what they said they would, and I feel you got what you paid for. Looking ahead, theres some really neat things they want to add. I just feel the industry as a whole could do better to educate players on what alphas and betas really are, and not use them for early money grabs.
