Pirates of the Burning Seas, Off or On?

This game looks like it has been in development for nearly 3 years, Beta was announced open to selected individuals almost 3 months ago, yet nothing.  When posting on Flying Labs Software Forum you get nothing solid or decisive in return to any questions given.

Seeing as this is the main game I am looking forward too, the screenshots look amazing, it is killing me waiting so long for this.

A little research into the FLS background shows they had a game in development for a similar time, had a thriving community etc and just before beta pulled the plug, and started this one.  Are we to expect the same?

Just wondering if anyone has any news.

    3 years really isn't that long for an MMORPG to be in development. I wouldn't worry just yet. 3 momths for a closed beta isn't all that long either. Too early to start being concerned.

    Looks as if the beta is progressing right along, warts and all. Not sure where you are coming from, the Devs post on the forums over there on almost a daily basis.

    I have a good friend who has a beta key, yet isnt in. So maybe it is still closed.
