Let's Play ArcheAge English Series. Russian Servers With English Patch / English Guild! - Guide On I
There does not seem to be really any English Let's Plays out there so I thought I give it a shot being brand new to this game hopefully I will learn a thing or many from you guys and girls. I'm having a blast right now I joined as far as I know the biggest English Guild on Server 10. I will keep going as long as people keep enjoying it.
Any tips or advice or suggestions are always welcome I'm really open to suggestions. I apologize for any derpyness or if I call the game Sandbox at first. I really mean sandbox "features".

I have followed your guide and have the client downloading and my Mail.ru account made and logged in on the patcher. Just waiting for the patcher to finish and then I will install the English patch. Great guide thanks for that, I have been wanting to try the Russian version of the game.

I got it all ready last night after watching a person’s stream. (Been waiting for this game a long time, was going to wait till release in the US but.. meh) Created a toon and then went to bed for work today. After thinking about it, this person said they are only going to be playing till ESO comes out then come back to it later. I don’t want to be playing by myself. I’m on the server that ends with WAKA.
Ill look for server 10 tonight. What faction do I choose?
I have kids and what not so I won’t be the fastest leveler. I would think it won’t take that long till 50.

I show in the video but the 2 right races are the one you want to pick for the English Guild/faction. We are I think they call it the Eastern side.

First of all nice guide!!
I did everything exactly as shown but i have a problem the game wont load it crashes as soon as it's loading and says "Achieved with Cryengine 3" that's when it closes!! I've ran it a few times differently, i even re installed and started over but still nothing crashed at the same place.
Any help will be appreciated

Thanks for the guide! I did everything the guide says and I installed the actual game just fine. When I download the English patch however I don't see a patch.bat anywhere in the extracted files. I have 'output' , then 'src' , then 'quickbms_4gb_files.exe, then 'script.txt' and finally 'XXLpatcher.exe'. Could you help me out with finding where the patch.bat is that I need to open as you noted on the guide? Thanks!
It's possible that your OS might be hiding it or anti virus might of removed it for some odd reason. If you know how to use cmd you can navigate to the folder where the quickbms_4gb_files.exe is located and just run the following line:
quickbms_4gb_files.exe -9 -r -w script.txt "C:GamesMailRuArcheAgegame_pak" output
Changing of course the same path to where you had selected for your main install. So really should be just C to Maybe D etc. Everything else should be fine.

Did all of the above, yet after running patch.bat it imports 1 file and then is done. No change to the archeage client at all. Some step is missing here.
Also, for the other guy, dowloading the .exe file doesn't have the patch.bat only the 7e zip file has that.
Same problem here, launched the game and it crashed after that same screen. Not even sure the english patch worked at all as the launcher interface is still in russian
Hit alt enter to go to windowed mode and then spam the space bar when you see the cryengine logo elocke, I had the same problem and that worked for me. Also the patcher is still in Russian even if the patch works. You won't know until the game launches.

I suggest not to just doubleclick the patch.bat. Open a command window (cmd) in the folder where the patch.bat resides and type patch.bat and ENTER.
Then you will see what the patch does and any error that may arise. Everything seems to work fine for most people.
You can please some MMO-players all of the time and you can please all MMO-players some of the time but you can't please all MMO-players all of the time.
I've done both. Didn't seem to have any errors. Does this patch change the launcher interface into English at all? Or just ingame text?
No it does not the patcher remains in Russian. You won't know if it worked until you get into the game. Not sure if you saw my other post either but al-enter for windowed mode when launching the game and spam the space bar at the cryengine logo to stop it from crashing at that point.

The game is awesome, even with that 3rd party english patch.
Nevertheless, there is still a lot kyrillic in the russian version, macros and stuff, but the most importand things are in english.
As soon as Trion grants me access, i'd be in.

Hey guys the guide is pretty correct accept one thing. There seems to be a bug I don't know if it's their fault or governments traffic shaping and causing some bad packets. Pretty much what you need to do is run the repair like 2-3 times someone said on Teamspeak to get it to work.
Please let us know if this fixes for you. Try to get the game to work before patching it again.

Working fine for me now. Game is giving me mixed feelings. I really enjoy the graphics, sound and music, but combat leaves a bit to be desired. It feels clunky.
However, interactive objects all over the place really raise the immersion level. Also...I can see now why Trion is taking a long time to westernize and interpret this one. There is SOOOOO much stuff that needs adjusting it's crazy. So many things we take for granted over here in our MMOs like auto loot, faster mouse speed options(if there were any in the settings, I couldn't find them), tutorial tips for game basics, tons of voice over work for cutscenes and npc's.
I really enjoyed the animated cutscene for this one quest where you character take an imprint of a nearby megalith stone onto a parchment. Was fun just watching that.
So far though,it has massive potential and feels like a mix of the good parts of Aion, Tera and most eastern F2Ps. I hope it really shines with a proper English port from Trion. Definitely needs to be free to play though, not sure I would sub to it.
