Who has the best dungeons?

And why?

In my xp I think World of Warcraft had the best.  They felt more mysterious and intriguing.  You really wanted to see what was around the next corner.

Who do you think has the best dungeons?

original EQ  Upper and Lower GUK , Estate of Unrest, and Castle Mistmore. loved the challenge and the probable trains to the zone line not to mention the grouping required to make it in the zones.

    The secret world.

+Design and theme of the levels.
    +Boss encounter mechanics
    +Graphically pleasing.

-Not as long or complex as previous dungeons in the genre.

Best old school dungeons: EQ by a long shot, with DAoC coming in a distant second (DAoC dungeons were so dangerous when the game was first released)

Best modern MMO dungeons: RIFT by a long shot, think WoW dungeons but a lot more challenging and rewarding with far more advanced mechanics. WoW deserves and honorable mention here, as well as TERA imo. If you were a good player in TERA, you could solo a lot of dungeons in level.

    Currently Playing: ESO and FFXIV
    Have played: You name it
If you mention rose tinted glasses, you better be referring to Mitch Hedberg.

World of Warcraft definitely. So many awesome dungeons. Too many neat little things about the old vanilla dungeons. And karazhan is one of the best designed dungeons I've ever experienced.

Wow had great dungeons..probably the best.

DDO has the best digital pnp dungeons though. They don't really make games like this anymore.

    No contest DDO.

There's traps which ARE deadly and can be disarmed or spotted via some skills, you need certain skills to proceed trough safely or have to take bumpy roads, hidden treasures/stuff to find and not a cake walk as some dungeons are really tough if you are under geared or playing a gimick class.

D3 has the best dungeons. Why? They are random.

DDO. By a long shot, imho.

I have always preferred open dungeons compared to raid group instanced dungeons. It is the explorer in me. So my vote would be for DAOC's Darkness Falls and LotM.
